Minimum wage has risen from $5.15 in 2006 to $7.25 beginning in 2009. What else has risen in that time? Unemployment. Could these be linked?

Yes outsourcing is inevitable. The total fucking bullshit is the hundreds of millions of tax dollars we give to this companies so they don't outsource! Our fucking money! IBM is notorious for this, yet they continue to get the money and continue to outsource and the government does nothing! My mother has worked there for near 20 years and designed some of their integral systems. She's now a regional director in charge of several multi million dollar accounts and they tried to outsource her position! She refused to train anyone though and no one else can do what she does. It's the only reason she still has a job.
