Holiday season sucks so far...

Well, as some of you may know my job gets 10x's busier with the holiday season and as of right now, it's the worst holiday season so far as of the amount of packages and hours we handle now. Online shopping is ridiculous. It leads to a great paycheck, but damn does it wear you out. I'm working at least 12 hours a day and would end up working more if I were allowed, but thank God for the DOT and their rules. If it wasn't for them, I'd probably be asked to work 14 hour days and never get any sleep.

Sounds like a hard job. Seems like the overall feeling as well just doesn't seem like Christmas this year. I'm hoping it will come around.

This the slowest time for me. I don't understand how a Hotel guest at a 4 star resort that has free valet parking wouldn't tip the valet? I have actually in an 8hr shift walked with 18 bucks. Plus I make 8 bucks an hour. It's the union so the benefits are killer, but I want to make money. I don't have 4 kids and need all the medical and stuff.

I don't think I'll be there much longer after 3.5 years.
