I actually answer this question on Tonight's HEAVY MUSCLE RADIO show........ but the quick answer is that it's LENGTH OF TIME ON GH that's way more important than how much you take. 3-4IU per day will produce just as good results as 8IU per day will as long as you take it continuously. Remember, your body GROWS from GH because of the IFG-1 that's released in the liver in response to the GH. Your LIVER can only crank out so much IGF per day in response to GH. Above 4-5IU per day, I believe the liver will no longer produce more GH.............all that will happen is that you'll burn more fat, become more insulin resistant (leaving you prone to TYPE 2 Diabetes), and get more BLOATAED..........and, in my book, that doesn't equate to more muscle. No one used more than 5IU per day back in the 90's. It was too expensive and hard to get and look at the Monsters from back then. Remember, if after reading this you think that you can OUTSMART the fact that the body can't really crank out more IGF-1 by the liver than what would be produced by 5IU GH by taking EXOGENOUS IGF-1 in high amounts, think again! If you inject more than 20mcg per day of IGF-1, your body will downregulate its IGF-1 receptors and youll stop responding to the hormone very rapidly. So MORE GH or IGF-1 is not the answer...........SOUND NUTRITION, a good threshold of GH/IGF-1 (without overkill), and hardcore/badass training is what'll make you HUGE! Just ask JEFF LONG.... he's a living testament to that fact!
