I have to vent

MOVING TO A NEW STATE SUCKS. I cant find anything, I'm always lost and the worst part is trying to find gear. Usually I never have a problem, in fact they come up to me and ask. The only thing is that I live on base with my husband who's in the Army. Which means we use on base gyms and no dude in the right mind is going to talk about that with his career at stake. ON A BRIGHT SIDE the gyms here are awesome! Even better they don't use air. I'm all about leaving drenched in accomplishment :) Ok that's the end of my rant lol

<------ Ex Army guy here. Where is your husband stationed? I was last at Ft Bragg in NC in the 82nd. I've been out a while now but I know what you're going through. The gym at Bragg was great. Callahan Athletic Center if I remember right. It was an old barn. It was great. One of the few gyms I've ever seen with 100 pound plates.

Funny we live on post at Bragg. the gym I go to is across from the 82nd barracks, btw you guys get all the nice shit.

I moved out of state about 5 years ago for work and it took a while to get use to getting around. It was real hard for my wife because she stayed at home and was exactly like you getting lost and not knowing what to do. She was basically bored more than anything with 2 kids at home.

I'd say you are in perfect situation for a show since you can focus on working out and eating. Might take your mind off of things

That would be nice. I'm naturally a clean eater, now more then ever my eating is on point. Honestly I'm intimidated. I don't know the first thing about running gear for contest prep or crab depletion or what not. My ex always took care of all of that for me.

Don't be intimidated, that's what trainers are for! There's several extremely qualified members here that could train you, work out your diet, and contest prep! You'll have to send pics and communicate on skype, but that's not a big deal. Put out the word when your're ready.

I like the sound of that. I guess I should pick out a show then

Youd be surprised how far you can get on your own if you're savvy on research too.

I can't imagine gear wise being too complicated unless you're doing women's bodybuilding. Are you wanting to do figure?

I guess it would be wise for me to start in figure but I would really like to do physique. I just don't want to have "parameters" I like to lift heavy.

I love the physique look. Some women just look natural being that hard. I love Karina Nacimiento, hottie.

I think the bigger figure girls like Larissa Reis and Ava Cowan are some of the more muscular figure girls but I love the way they look. It's like they can cross over to physique easily.

Those are mine and Lil Lifters favorite figure girls too! I like Erin Sterns physique also. The right combination of quality hard muscle and female curves can be a hard target to hit, but when it's done right it's sexy as hell!!!

Figure has changed alot over the years. I really like Physique now. It seems like today's physique is maybe just a tad harder than Figure a few years ago, but its for the better IMO. Figure is way too soft and arbitrary for my tastes
