The stereos in the truck are horrible. I'm looking at doing a Pioneer DVD head unit, a JL Audio stealthbox with a 10w3, a 5 channel Kicker Amp, and Kicker 3 ways in the doors.
It looks like parts will cost about $1600. I haven't done too much stereo wiring but I've done some electrical stuff on vehicles before.
I'm lookin to buy at Crutchfield for the ease of installation and the all inclusive install stuff.
Is this someone a guy like me can do? Do I need to replace the door speaker wire? I'm going to run 50w to each speaker and 500w to the sub.

narr you should be fine with the standard cable in there..but run a good live to your amp some thing like 12mm and make sure u got a good earth as well..
u can buy some oxygen free cable ect ect but just for door speakers i would not bother.plus pulling that new cable will be a pain in the ass....i would be more concerned about the sub my self.

I competed for years. Last setup I had I was running 6 18's in a fourth order in a crewcab F-150, had right at 24,000 watts on the subs. My mid and high stage I ran 10 6.5s and 6 tweeters. I was obsessed with audio for awhile.
