target practice

I was reading a Joe Nobody book last night and he mentioned something pretty cool in the book-get a remote control dune buggy and put a 3-4 ft rod on it to attach targets...

now you have moving targets to shoot at-stationary paper gets boring after a while

something else he mentioned in one of his youtube interviews is to get a remote helicopter (just under $100) from Radio Shack, then drill a small hole in it and screw a hook into that and attach a
6ft piece of fishing test with a balloon at the end of it...now you have a flying moving target:surprised

its all good unil you start shooting your rifle in the air at a helicopter and the bullet hits miles away. ex. A teenage Amish girl shot on the way home from a Christmas party in her horse-drawn buggy was apparently killed by a stray bullet fired by a man cleaning his rifle 1.5 miles away, an Ohio sheriff says. An Ohio sheriff says Rachel Yoder, 15, was shot in the head Thursday night while riding in her buggy after a Christmas party at a produce farm, the Associated Press reports.

that's why you use a 22-after about 150 yards out it has lost all it's power...make sure you know what's behind your target

I call bullshit on a man cleaning his rifle...who the fuck cleans a loaded gun??? sounds to me like the guy was poaching

Idk man. I dont have the balls to fire any rifle into the air. 22 or not. Its prob OK where im at but still a scary thought.

why not just make sure there is nothing back there...where I shoot there isn't a house or road for several miles and all of that is covered with trees

and if you don't like the helicopter idea, then go with the dune bubby idea...that's low to the ground

I didn't say I didn't like the idea, I am just in an area where you couldn't possible do that. but you could get away with a remote control car, way better practice than aiming at those still targets all the time.

Crazy thing is in special forces we actually trained using the remote controlled car with balloons...we filled 2 balloons with helium, a red one and a blue one, tied them to the car...the red is the bad guy, blue a hostage...with a little breeze they kind of swirl around, so getting a good shot is tough as hell...excellent hostage situation training for our snipers
