Tramadol is a very mild pain med.....took them for years with norcos from my pain management doc.......doc had me taking them during the day instead of the norcos so it wouldn't make me too loopy....found myself taking a lot more just to take the edge off so just stayed with the norcos.....coming off is tough...you will feel like shit for about a week....feel tired and really weak....it will be a rough, tough four days...takes about two full days for your body to react to not having the opiates in your system......try and sleep as much as you can.....valum will help....tapper the tramadol down to where your last pill is just half...then next day start the Valium and sleep sleep sleep...you won't be able to work or even get through a work day so plan on taking a stay-cation.....get yourself in a positive state of mind as your mind is a very powerful tool to either give in or over come this......hit me up if you want / need to chat.......you got this

taper down like eswol says. the couple of days will go by quick.

It's an opioid agonist, you need to slowly drop the dose if at all possible, just stopping isn't the best way, you can have some serious side effects from these types of pain meds, ultram is not really a heavy hitter as far as these drugs go, you've only been on a month, so you should be able to taper off pretty easy, get some Tylenol and/or aleve if you need them to help take something, ultram has about a 7 hour half life so start by increasing your time between doses and cut your dosage down, Drink plenty water.
