Hi Guys-
I have not been around in about 2 years or so and kinda kicking my self for it. I liked this Forum.

I wanted to ask about Blood Work. Im going to go get it done after doing a few cycles over the years
and I wanted to ask what YOU think are the staples of bloodwork after running a few cycles?

-Liver
-kidneys
-Free test of course
-Etc

And so on and so on. I have always been a bit confused about this and I have never heard or seen the "rule of thumb" what you should ask for.
Like the "Body Builder Blood Test" if you will.
My main goal is just to make sure im cool with everything before my next run at it.

P.S. Try not to get to tech on me, im a simple man K.I.S.S if you can :)

Thanks.

Bro I think MOST important numbers to pay attention too are the cholesterol levels. And kidney function, everything else you can fix or take HRT for. Sounds alittle stupid I know because of course you want everything to remain good. But two things that will lead to your death quick is not taking care of your heart and not taking care of your kidneys. Liver can regenerate itself.

Kidneys do not regenerate. And once they are shot your fucked. It's only a matter of time you'll need dialysis.

Sorry for not sounding super intelegent on the response, I'm just telling you like it is. No need to get scientific, and again this is just my opinion. This is what I look for when I get my labs done, what's most important to me.

And also I want to add, if your kidneys or heart comes back showing super high levels, in the danger zones. And your young, you could have a genetic disposition for that. Or you had been abusing aas non stop with out breaks. I'm speaking from expirience. I abused winstrol very bad for a long long time. I'm talking a year + with out a break at 100mgs per day. And my kidneys sure took a hit from that. Liver count was a screwed. I'm now having to take meds to correct all this. I'm not in the danger zone but if I would have continued I would have been. I'm 28 years old.

Nice that's what I wanted to hear/know.

Is it ok to ask where you guys like to get you B.W. done? Prices and all that? I get a bit confused looking at all this. ---> Private MD - Buy Lab Tests Online

Im starting to LOVE Body Building more and more and more.
BUT im starting to realize I need to be smart about this and keep safe. Im assuming BW will help with that?

The Whole Dorian Yates interview that just came out made me realize duh. you Dumb Shit get blood work done. haha

yes they are a good site, order the female hormone pannel for $62 and then add the cholesterol panel you can google and find a 15% off discount code and should put you at $98 thats about as good as you can get.

the female hormone panel has everything you want in it. a CBC, CMP 14 panel. plus test levels, LSH, estradiol, etc.

the test will have refrenece ranges for you to tell you if your high or low.

Hey Brother, I am a Lab Tech by trade and have been for almost 20 years. I looked at everything listed and the very best one I copy and pasted below. -Thyroid Profile

Significant deviations from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.

Includes:
Lipid Panel: Cholesterol, total; high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol; low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (calculation); triglycerides; very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol (calculation)

Thanks Boss. You're the best... I love what I do and take it seriously. Blood tests are not just the same numbers for everyone. You have to factor in so many things. Certain numbers will be either up or down depending if your on cycle, in PCT or off altogether. Also, different compounds affect different things. Most affect Lipids, but some elevate liver enzymes while others affect kidneys, etc....

Ask away, someone here will know or know where to find the answer....;)

Superman, I didn't realize you were in the medical field...Awesome!!

like austin311 said the male panel cost more but also give you more tests (male specific) and you can still google a 15% discont code, i figured you were looking for the basic and cheap and the female gets you that testosterone test squeezed in there for less.

make sure you try and find a lab in your area as there are certain states that are excluded.

Yeah man like they all said:

Highest priority: kidney and cholesterol
Next highest: thryroid, test, estrogen
Lowest priority: liver

And adding to why liver is bs... alt and ast are just markers of cell death. They don't actually show anything other than how hard the liver is working. You could have scars on your liver from alcohol or aas abuse and have perfect enzymes or have horrendous enzymes and a liver that isn't damaged at all.

Another thing the ALT, AST and even ALP in the liver test will also tell obstructions in the bile ducts and can even give clues to Gallbladder issues....

I know lab tests are expensive. I happen to have great perks at work...;)

i dont think $100 is too much for your health, quarterly or at least semi annually.

in addition if you order them yourself you dont have to worry about them being in your "permanent" medical record to be used against you whenever deemed appropriate.

cool this is all great stuff.

I just had labs done today. 2 months after my cycle and I have labs from a week before my cycle.

Ill post them this week when I get it back.
