Prepping meals in advance...

I'm going to start making my meals in advance because I'm sick of doing it every day. I'm thinking of making 2-3 days worth of food in advance because I can't see the food staying good for much longer past that.

The biggest thing I can see being a pain in the ass is having to go to the store more often. I'm planning on just getting what I want/need to 2-3 days at a time then using it up and going back to do the same in a day or so. I'm sure this will be a big pain in the ass, but I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this.

How far do some of you prep in advance?

I also have a small freezer so I can't load up and just freeze a lot of it which is why I'm planning on doing it this way. I also have the opportunity to buy a large amount of fresh beef dirt cheap right now (buddy is butchering one of his bulls) so I'm contemplating on that, but again the freezer issue is making me struggle with this. I'm thinking it may be better to just go buy a deep freeze and stocking it full of beef, chicken, deer and all that good shit.

usually sunday is our cook day for three to four days simply because of our work schedule and going to gym everyday its after 6 when we get home. We have freezer full of deer meat beef and steaks also chicken and fish I buy in large quantities usually the fish is individually packaged so you can cook only as much as you need. Now breakfast I cook Daily Its usually combination of egg whites and whole eggs, Also peanut butter on my toast Love sum peanut butter. Its pretty easy once you get in a routine I eat 6 meals a day and i dont eat any processed shit or fast food.

Sundays and Wednesdays are my cook days.

Today I'll pop about 5 lbs of tilapia in the oven for 15 min, cook 2lbs of ground turkey on the stove and put 4lbs of chicken breast in the crockpot for 4 hours and 2 cups of rice in the rice cooker for 30 min. Sweet potatos i cook the day of in the microwave for 7 minutes.

i know guys that cook for hours on Sundays but I'm not into recipes for fancy chicken. I have kids to feed that are picky as hell when I don't care if it's week old food.

I bought a whole chicken last night. Pealed the skin off, wrapped it in foil and baked. Tow bundles of asparagus steamed. I should be good for a day and a half. Have two steaks and some salmon steaks thawing out. Plus three huge handfulls of green beans boiling. Should be good through Thursday!

Depending on how much time I have to prep its either 4 or 7 days, and thats for me and the husband.
Usually it rotates between chicken, tilapia, salmon, or ground turkey. The sides kinda vary as well as how I cook the meats. Its what ever Im in the mood for lol
