Favorite Chinese/Oriental dish Mandarin/Hunan whatever....

There are so many but my go to chinese dish is pretty lame. It's chicken and peapods. Chinese food can be pretty heavy or starchy with very strong sauces. I tried to make orange chicken once with juice from a carton. It tasted like really strong fake orange juice lol. Next time I will juice fresh oranges and make the syrup. Good ol chop suey is alright. Kung pao chicken. George likes his chicken spicey. I got sick once from shrimp in lobster sauce. I've made pork eggrolls before, also vegetable sushi. It's pretty easy actually just sticky rice and nori and veg. The store bought nori paper was really fishy though.

Anyway what are your guys' favorite oriental dishes?

I'd have to go with the Orange Chicken and steamed rice

and yeah your right sometimes they get too heavy on the sauce-can you feel the MSG kicking in?

what the hell is thai salad? Do they actually use lettuce or a combo of lettuce and cabbage? Peanuts have to be involved somehow. Cilantro? Mint? Basil? I'm guessing its like a bon mi sandwich without the bread. What is the dressing? Don't tell me... it's a thai peanut vinagrette. Anyway never seen it on a menu or heard of it. Must be some newfangled contraption the downtowners or yuppies created.:pleased:

I like chicken with all the vegetables mixed in. I cant rember what the hell it is called but it hits the spot.

I love General Tso's Chicken, but I always substitute the breaded and deep fired mystery chicken/cat meat for white meat steamed chicken. I always do white steamed rice with the transmission fluid like general tso sauce on the side so my food isnt a soup...
