Systolic Blood Pressure High

I took my blood pressure today. Just a random thing I did at the grocery store. For the first time ever my systolic blood pressure was high. Normal range is below 120. Mine read 131. It is considered hypertension phase. Borderline high blood pressure. I am guessing it is from my little buddy trenbolone. Normal on cycle right?
 
actually, 120/80 is considered High normal for a normal person. 130 is borderline hpertension, or "pre hypertension". What was your diastolic? that is really the more important of the two numbers. Your systolic pressure is the pressure created in your arteries during contraction, whereas diastolic (bottom number) is the pressure created during the relaxation phase of your heart beat. A 130 would tell me you either have a lot of stims in your diet, or have some sort of cardiovascular problem, but i'm going to assume the first, as we are on a bodybuilding website.

Also, just taking your bp once doesn't really give you an accurate representation of your BP. Were you walking fast? was it hot out? were you dehydrated? All this plays a role in blood pressure.

Ways to alleviate this?
1. cardio, low intensity at first, because cardio obviously elevates systolic BP
2. visit your doc and get checked out, because you can catch things early that can be an issue later
3. drop all stims from your diet for a while, i'd say at least a month. You'll see it come down.

It can effect it by a few points. It's w/o ? trenbolone. You can also lower BP w/ celery seed extract or :D cialis... Also Basil, cinnamon, cardamom, garlic, hawthorn berrids, french lavender & cat's claw. I use celery seed & hawthorn berries it's part of my cycle support.

You didn't even have to say you had an exercise science degree, I could tell. lol. Thanks for this solid info brotha! My Diastolic number was 63 I believe. It was well within limits on that. What is stim's when you refer to cutting those out of the diet?

I thought my arm was gonna explode as I could feel my brain pumping lol! Those things are not made for BB. My arms are much bigger than 13" bro. :flex:

Had a physical today and BP was a little high the first time they took it. The woman doctor
then procedes to tell me how to get in good shape and what she does. It was hard to listen
as I was trying to figure out if it was one or two inflatable intertubes under her mumu around
her waist. It is amazing how some of these doctors are so uneducated on health and nutrition.
If yours stays high have it checked out, nothing to ignore. I think Costco has a reasonable BP device.

when i said stims, i was referring to caffeine (coffee), clen (lol), pre workouts, things of that nature. Take a break from stimulants for a little bit and your bp will come down.

Oh shit! That will be like a crack addict taking a little break. lol. I love my stimulants. Coffee in the morning. Pre-workout before gym. Often an energy drink in the afternoon. Guess I will ease up a bit to get that BP down. Thanks again for the solid advice bro!
 
Lol you're not the only stim addict. If you could see my desk right now, you'd laugh. I have two empty monter cans, my pwo tub is in my drawer next to me about to be drank. It's hard to cut back on stims, but when you do, they end up working better. I try to take a break from them every month for a week or so.

But yea man, any time. Feel free to ask me anything exercise related. I love what I do.

131 is about normal for me. Although I went to give blood 2 days ago and it was 152/80. The lady was a little shocked. She actually took it 3 times. That was high for me. It was a little shocking actually. Time to donate some RBC on the daily.
 
I'm just curious... Why am I often seeing people giving blood who cycle? Should I too be doing this??? Thread link?

the reason is to lower your hemacrit...which is the volume of blood

too high and it will cause high blood pressure and other issues

some AAS will increase your RBC...blood work should let you know what both are
 
Most steroids increase RBC mainly 19nors and EQ. You can go donate blood and once they approve you....(test your blood for goodies and baddies). You can volunteer to just give red blood cells every 8 weeks which will lower your count and decrease blood pressure. A little increased RBC is ok. That's what gives you the awesome pump. But if you start having problems breathing and start getting headaches it is obviously way too high. Cutting down on stimulants and salt will help a little but giving blood is the only option for RBC. Plus you meet some mildly entertaining and desperate nurses who hopefully are not pigs.:satan:
