Stupid question

This might sound like a dumb question but at the moment I'm not comprehending the whole process.Anyways to the subject,for the past few years of brewing. I've stuck to using syringe filters but right now I'm trying to broaden my horizon.So I thought I would try new brewing techniques so I decided to look up complete filter systems & bottle top filters.My question is do I have to use a vacuum pump with the bottle top filters & complete filter systems?

Yep. I use a hand held vaccume system that you bleed brakes with. Also on amazon.

You do not have to use it, it is helpful if you get the purge tanks that have the tube that goes to a filter that leads to a vial. Its hard to explain and I cant find a picture for just ordinary purchase. usually labs use these especially for compounding pharmacies. You can use a syringe and filter, always stick to what works best for you.
