I've never focused on putting on lean mass, I always just focused on putting on as much mass as possible and keeping the fat levels low. When I'm bulking I'm eating 5000 calories a day minimum, maximum 5500.. if you're running a cycle I'd imagine you'd pack of lots of new muscle following a similar diet.
Only downside of eating so much is you get sick of clean foods, I tend to eat mainly rice, wheat, lean meats etc. Sometimes I'll just cheat and grab a few burgers from a semi-healthy place down the street.. easy 1500 calories and lots of protein lol. also don't forget to raid local all you can eat buffets.
