Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting following an initial report from MMA DNA.
A former Contender Series veteran, Martin joined the UFC roster this past December, but she came up short in her debut falling by submission to Virna Jandiroba. Prior to that loss, Martin had won five straight contests with two knockouts and one submission victory during that time.
She will now seek to earn her first UFC win while facing Cifers, who will be making her fourth appearance already in 2020.
Cifers is currently riding a three-fight losing streak after falling to Angela Hill, Mackenzie Dern and Mariya Agapova in consecutive matchups. Cifers will attempt to prevent a fourth consecutive loss when she faces Martin in August.
The card on Aug. 29 is headlined by a light heavyweight fight between former title contender Anthony Smith and Aleksander Rakic.
