UFC president Dana White announced during the event’s post-fight press conference that Calderwood passed out backstage after the fight. The Scottish fighter’s manager Danny Rubenstein confirmed to MMA Fighting that she was transported to a local hospital and she was “doing okay.”
On Sunday morning, Calderwood took to Instagram to release a statement while in her hospital bed.

Rubenstein revealed that Calderwood had fainted while she was sitting down after the fight. Her head coach, and fiancé John Wood was able to catch her before laying Calderwood down and putting her on a stretcher.
Calderwood’s manager later revealed in a text message to MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin that she had been released from the hospital and she’s currently resting and recovering at home in Las Vegas.
