At Friday’s official weigh-ins, Miocic came in at 233 pounds and Cormier at 236, making them official for the UFC 252 heavyweight championship headliner that takes place at UFC APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Miocic weighed in at 242.5 pounds and Cormier at 246 for their first meeting at UFC 226 in July 2018, which Cormier won by first-round KO to capture Miocic’s heavyweight title. For their rematch at UFC 241 in August 2019, Miocic weighed in at 230.5 and Cormier at 236.5. Miocic defeated Cormier by fourth-round TKO to regain the title and set up a third fight.
Co-headlining bantamweights Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera were also on weight, with both tipping the scales at 136 pounds.

Featherweight Herbert Burns weighed in at 149.5 pounds, 3.5 pounds over the limit (including one-pound allowance) for his main card bout opposite Daniel Pineda. It is not yet known whether his bout with Pineda will proceed at a catchweight and if so, what purse penalty Burns will face.
One other fighter unsuccessfully weighed in on Friday, featherweight TJ Brown. Brown missed by half a pound and it is not yet known if he will attempt to weigh in again. Should he fail to make weight on a second attempt, he will have to negotiate a purse penalty for his bout to proceed against opponent Danny Chavez, who successfully weighed in at 146 pounds.
