Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Thursday with agreements in place from both athletes. The bout was initially reported by MMA Junkie.
Following an 0-2 run in the UFC between 2011 and 2012, Jacoby continued fighting in MMA with stints in numerous promotions including World Series of Fighting and Bellator. Eventually, Jacoby decided to commit to a kickboxing career, where he primarily competed in GLORY with 15 fights over four years.
Jacoby even tried his hand at professional boxing in 2019 before making the move back to MMA.
He picked up a dominant win over Ty Flores on the Contender Series in early August, which earned him another opportunity in the UFC.
Now, he’ll make his return while facing a veteran in Ledet, who comes into the fight with a 3-3 record overall in the UFC.
Ledet started his UFC career with three straight wins, but since moving down to light heavyweight he’s struggled to find his footing. Most recently, Ledet dropped a decision to Aleksa Camur back in January.
Ledet will attempt to stave off a fourth consecutive defeat when he faces off with Jacoby at the UFC event on Oct. 31.
