Cerrone, who’s tied with Jim Miller for most octagon appearances and a record-holder in several categories, is at a serious career crossroads. Although he’s fought nothing but the best in the octagon, his busy schedule has begun to show in his octagon performances. After a quick blowout loss to former two-division champ Conor McGregor, he attempted to rebound against ex-champ Anthony Pettis and was outpointed over three rounds for his fourth consecutive loss. UFC President Dana White has said indicated a fifth setback could bring an end to Cerrone’s octagon run.
Standing across from him is a fighter guaranteed to bring an exciting fight, win or lose. Price has never been to the judges’ scorecards in 11 octagon bouts, and he’s bounced between wins and losses in his past six. Most recently, he was stopped by Vicente Luque.
