Darren Till offers up his services to corner Mike Perry against Robbie Lawler, Perry responds

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting Just when we thought Darren Till and Mike Perry may have put their differences aside for the sake of business, it turns out that may not be the case after all.
On Sunday, Perry took to Twitter and put out an interesting offer ahead of his upcoming fight with Robbie Lawler at UFC 255 on Nov. 21. With his girlfriend Latory Gonzalez pregnant, “Platinum” is in search of someone to corner him for the welterweight matchup.
Tuesday morning, ESPN reported that Till, a longtime rival of Perry, was “dead serious” about paying $5,000 to take that spot. “The Gorilla,” who is slated to fight Jack Hermansson in the main event of the UFC’s Dec. 5 event, confirmed the information and took a bit of a shot while doing so.
Perry recently snapped a two-fight losing skid with a unanimous decision win over Mickey Gall at June’s UFC on ESPN 12 event. The 29-year-old was questioned for only having his girlfriend in his corner for the fight, but it seemed to put Perry in a positive frame of mind and became one of the big talking points following the event.
Of course, Perry had a response to Till’s cornering request.
Till had a lighthearted response right back at Perry, offering a split screen photo of his own, seemingly lowering excitement levels even more of the cornering idea.
Regardless of who will be in the corner of Perry, he will return to action next month against an opponent he’s been wanting to fight for years. Following the win over Gall, the Florida native was involved in a physical altercation with several individuals at a restaurant in Lubbock, Texas. Perry later apologized to the UFC for his actions.
The UFC went on to release a statement saying that Perry would not be offered another fight until he received professional treatment, including substance and behavioral counseling. Perry reportedly completed a 30-day “intensive” anger management program.
Till will be looking to get back on track after dropping a unanimous decision to Robert Whittaker in the main event of UFC on ESPN 14 in July.
