Solomon seemed under no delusions of how vital his work is as President of the Olympia. The financial implications of the brands aligned with the grandest show in bodybuilding and the emotional and physical investment athletes make towards living their dreams of hoisting a Sandow trophy overhead are not lost on him.
Still, Solomon maintains ease regarding his work by remembering the work of people in other fields that help move society forward in more meaningful ways.
People are trying to find cures for cancer. People are dealing with tragedies and ways that go far beyond us.
Discussing how a pro bodybuilder’s hamstring inserts into their glute while oiled up on stage doesn’t carry the same importance as the work Solomon mentioned. He reminds himself of that to remain grounded during times of higher stress.
We’re not trying to save the world. We’re trying to provide positivity the best we can.
O’Hearn echoed Solomon’s sentiment before shifting the discussion to the upcoming 2022 Olympia weekend, scheduled for Dec. 16-18, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV.

2022 will mark the 58th edition of the Olympia. Since its creation in 1965, the Olympia has had three owners: the contest’s founder, Joe Weider, and American Media, operated by David Pecker, and now Jake Wood. Solomon made the connection to coordinate the sale of the Olympia to Wood.
It was a big win for the bodybuilding industry.
