The past weekend toke place the inaugural edition of Mr. Universe Syria 2023 in the world’s oldest capital, Damascus, Syria,
with the participation of athletes from various Arab and international countries.
The Sahara Tourist Complex was the chosen venue to host athletes and bodybuilding enthusiasts, providing them with a day filled with excitement and dedicated to our sport.
Dr. Adel Fahim el Zayed, accOmpanied by Mr.Manar Haikal, representing IFBB President, Rafael Santonja, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Syrian government, H.E. Eng. Hussein Arnous. This is a great honor that demonstrates the level of support from the authorities for our sport in the country.
We want to congratulate Dr. Adel Fahim, President of the Arab Federation and Vice President of the International Federation IFBB, as well as Mr. Manar Haikel, President of the Syrian Federation and the Western Asia Federation, for the great success achieved at Mr. Universe 2023 Syria.
Some standout athletes include:
Abdalwahab Sobhi Boudaka, overall winner in the classic bodybuilding category.
Asef Hasan Alsaleh, overall winner in the men’s physique category.
Jafar Zahra, overall winner in the bodybuilding category.
Tawfik Alabboud, overall winner in the classic physique category.
