The 2023 WWC is more than “just” another international weightlifting event. It’s the first of two mandatory competitions for Paris hopefuls who wish to make it to the most prestigious stage in sport.

This year’s Worlds, running from Sep. 4 to 17, will all but confirm who has the chops to make it to — and, perhaps, win — the next Olympics.


In Riyadh, the only thing raised higher than the stakes were the barbells themselves. Here are the full up-to-date results from every competitive division at the 2023 World Weightlifting Championships:
