[h=1]androsta androsta 3 5 diene 7 17 dione[/h]
This is being marketed as an Armoatase Inhibitor (AI) and cortisol inhibitor.
It's a metabolite of 7-Keto DHEA. The usual dosage of 7 Keto is 100-200mg, but this is not 7 Keto, it is 7 Keto DHEA. They're different.
This from Patrick Arnold. "The whole family of 7-oxygenated dhea metabolites are fascinating compounds, for many reasons other than aromatase inhibition. The compound under discussion here is not a major metabolite though, and so its very unlikely you could acheive therapeutic drug levels in your body by ingesting any reasonable amount of 7-keto"
From all the research I did, it would appear as though the jury is still out on this as far as to whether or not it actually does what the marketers claim. There were some in vitro (lab test) that show AI properties, but no studies yet as to whether or not it translates into real life.
Androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione is a metabolite of 7-Keto-DHEA.* It is a suicide inhibitor which exhibits a strong binding affinity for the aromatase enzyme and is purported to be stronger than ATD, 6-OXO, and even Aromasin which is exemestane.* The ketone in the seventh position denoted by 7-keto contributes an added benefit over the previously mentioned AI’s.* This ketone helps to reduce cortisol, decreasing cortisol can increase muscle mass, decrease body fat, and further elevate testosterone levels.* The anti-estrogen activity accompanied by the anti-cortisol activity both contribute toward elevated testosterone levels, increased muscle mass, and decreased body fat.
The characteristics of Estrozole not only make it a great stand-alone supplement for boosting testosterone and decreasing cortisol, but make it perfect for post cycle therapy (PCT).* Androsta-3,5-diene-3,17-dione does not convert into metabolites which negatively interfere with HPTA, adding to its benefit during PCT.* After taking a steroid or prohormone cycle the body’s natural testosterone levels have diminished due to the hypothalamus-pituitary-testicular-axis (HPTA) interference from the application of exogenous hormones.* The decreased testosterone levels can also be accompanied by excessive** Cortisol levels are suppressed during a cycle and can rebound post cycle.* Estrozole “kills two birds with one stone” by correcting both of these issues. Testosterone will increase and estrogen will decrease, which will assist with stabilization of sex hormone levels back to a normal state.** The suppression of cortisol will prevent unwanted body fat and loss of muscle which can also occur post cycle.* Estrozole’s versatility does not stop there; it can also be used during a cycle to prevent water retention, aromatization, and decreases in natural testosterone levels.*
I've used this a handful, while I'd stick to traditional aromatase inhibitor aka AI's on cycle but this is good solo or as part of PCT!
