We just got my wife a 2012 Vette so now it's time to do some more upgrades to mine. I know there are quite a few car guys on here. First up is a pic of Silk in her 2012

Next is mine as it stands now. It makes just over 400rwhp

I bought a new carbon fiber center console and a custom Nappa leather and carbon leather center console with custom Velocity Yellow stitching (the color of my car) here's a pic

Now I want to get to work on the outside. It's going to be Velocity Yellow and REAL carbon Fiber pieces. This is the first thing I'm going with

APR all carbon fiber front splitter.
I'm basically going for this look with out the big wing

This is the rear spoiler I want

Tell me what you guys think!! I'm undecided if I'm going to have my wheels done in gloss black...

If you go with the black wheels, you should definitely look into painting the calipers yellow so that they really make the wheels stand out. That's just my opinion, but I think it'd look badass

These aren't mine but one is a Bentley Continental Supersports. 621hp, 200+mph, very nice. The other is Jeff Gordon's Rolls Royce. Yes, the NASCAR driver. We just got in a few F30 3-series. They look pretty nice as well.

It doesn't show in the pic, but the calipers are painted bright red. They look good, but I may need to change the color. The wife is making me do the upgrades slowly as each piece is very expensive.

Dick... I loved that car. I'm sure it was the right choice for you and have no doubt that you'll own another, but that car was the shit!

This thread makes me sick in all Honestly. I have a half built Trans Am in my garage with a 1200hp motor in it and I sold my ZO6. I miss driving a badass car everyday. The truck I bought serves me better, Heck if you own a home you have to own a truck. Just no other way around it.

But I will own another Vette. Will take me about 3 years to get where I need to be to do it...

Bro I know it's rough, but you've always bettered yourself since I met you 12 years ago. You're very intelligent and in my opinion making excellent choices, you're just putting the last piece of the puzzle together. I'm 100% confident you'll look back at all of this and be proud even with the insanely high standards you hold yourself to.
CH3NO2's Z06 was brand new. I think 2011. Just bad ass. He had the 2004 Carbon Edition Z06 before that one. Guy has wicked rides!!

I guess.....just not my thing I think. I'd take a lot of things over a Vette. IS-F, M3, C63, S5, 996 Turbo can all be had for equal or less money and appeal much more to me, even if the Vette is faster. To each his own though.

What no Nissan GTR on your list?

Those are all sweet rides no doubt, but expensive to mod just to catch up to stock level performance of a ZO6 with exception of the 996. Porsche are big money when you buy it and big money to mod. GT3 is no joke but I dont like the idea of 5K plus break jobs. Plus to me there nothing like an American pushrod V8. Simple design, simple to work on and parts are cheap.
