I'm sick of contact lens.. Had them since 16..Has anyone had or truly know of a person that had that Lasix type surgery ? I want but I only got two eyes and would hate to have one or none due to a screwup.. What would you do if you had surgery and lost all eyesite?.. Cant sue because u signed "as is " on legal form..Whats the hippest glass styles nowadays ?

Lsaix surgery is popular where i live, i guess, because i know several people that have had it done. One of them is my Mom. All of them have had great success. I havent heard any horror stories at all. I think as long as you find a reputable surgeon, you have nothing to worry about. I think you will be thrilled with the results.

I haven't taken out my contact lenses for months. Im pretty sure they are fused to my eyes by now.

Bighorn, there are very few Lasik mistakes these days. The lasers are awesome and the procedure is damn near flawless these days. I had it last summer and I'm so glad I did.

Do you still have to wear glasses? I know lots of people that have had it done but still have to wear glasses or need glasses now after it's been a few years.

Heard that too .. That's why I'm Leary .. Anyone up to speed on current costs? Was 1200$ a socket.

No, I don't wear glasses. But, they do warn you that everyone eventually needs reading glasses and Lasik does nothing to change that. I chose the bladeless Lasik, which was about $800 more and mine was about $4000 total. You can find cheaper places, but I trusted my doctor and didn't want to go cheap on it.

My uncle had it done when it first became well known and he's hated it everyday since he got it. But like Ox said, nowadays there's very few mistakes. His wasn't a mistake, but it's just been a nightmare for him and he's worse off now than before

I seem to be having that kind of luck lately. I better rethink things. I was going to have it done at u/w medical college but I can see a resident optician removing an eye for 600$ instead...

LmfAo .. Just heard a radio ad for Lasix . The Drs name would make anyone come to him ..
Dr. Fry. @ King Lasix . Here in suicide city ..lol.. 877$ per eye ..

I havent heard any pricing lately. Maybe the price for lasix has come down that much. There are a lot more doctors doing it now too, making that market more competitive and therefore lowering the price. I think you should look into it.
What about these new disposable contacts that you can wear for a month without removing. Have you tried them?
