So my wife has a newer car, Nissan Altima and I just literally purchased a Brand new car Battery for it about 2 or 3 months ago. Its so fucking cold out that I keep having to jump start it at 5:30 am , lol, its sucks balls having to do all that shit so frigging early while the wind and cold feels like my skin is burnining!

How can it be so cold that your car doesn't start, its always after a weekend though or whenever the car sat for a day or two without being started, its fine during the week , but on weekends it sits and every Monday it doesn't start cause it just so happens to be below zero wind chills lol,

Damn Brother!! That does suck.... I'm sure she appreciates it though whether she says it or not...lol

Something must be on causing a slow drain on the battery u should not have to jump it especially if u just purchased the battery.

I use to live where the temps got to -40 C/F. I never had a problem with the battery getting cold. That's weird.. We used block heaters to keep the engine manifold warm. Literally would plug in my car at the end of the day. haha

Speaking of cold. My 2 thermometers both registered -3* this morning with no wind. Car cranks up on first turn. I remember the old days when you had to press the accelerator to the floor while turning the ignition.

yeah i don't know what it could be, she has a Push Button ignition, not sure if that matters, as i know ABSOLUTLY ZERO ABOUT CARS, and i mean ZEROOOO! LOL

But yeah once its jumped she can use it all week long and it keeps the charge just fine, so the alternator is fine, and the batter is brand fucking new, so i haven't a clue! It sits from Friday at 3pm tip Monday morning at 5:30am so its more like 3 days its sitting and it only happens when the temperature is below zero wind chills, not just below freezing which i think i posted earlier, its only when its below zero, anyhow, just curious why this would be

The cleaner may help, but a good auto mechanic may be better

I was just going to bang the battery with a Hammer, lol, thats pretty much how I fix everything! if it doesn't start working again after a few hard hits then i guess its time to replace it! lol

if you just got the battery should be under warranty take that bitch bck and get another one, just in case.

I agree. Just becuz the battery is only a couple months doesn't mean it's not weak. I would go have them check it out wear you got it. I always buy the one with the most cold cranking amps. Seen I live where it gets freaking cold in the winter.

It might be the battery cause the first one they brought out to me I thought was wet and it turned out to be leaking battery acid so they made me go wash my hands while they brought out a new one, so maybe the new one was leaking to or maybe they did the old switcharoo while I was washing my hands lol

When I was in the Army in South Korea it would get so cold that you had to start all the vehicles every hour on the hour and let them run for 10-15 minutes. If you didn't the oil would freeze in the oil pan. Nothing like hearing the rods bang on the frozen oil.

Yeah thats cold! I didn't know it was that cold or known for being that cold in South Korea?
