I am into all that "secret" type thinking, and read a load of books on Law of resonance and law of attraction and how it has effects on you, dna, cells and such.

Anyways, Just bought a few new books, as i have been reading the same few over and over and it was time to get some new one, and i am reading one i cant put down, called "The DNA Field * The Law of Resonance" , i love it!

ANyways just curious who all liked that type of reading and inspiration?

Oh and yeah im one of those guys who has a giant Vision Board in his Office lmao and I quite literally have a "mantra" i repeat to myself every single day, throughout the day lmao, but mostly i do it in the morning before i start work.

I am a firm believer in Positive Affirmations having a huge role in my life.

anywho, just thought i would see who else liked reading and studying this, and maybe see what books you have read on it and whats you thought was good that maybe i havent read yet

I read a lot of Dave ramsey biz books, and it led me to these type of books, so thats how i got started

I love sales and motivation books. Def agree with you on Positive Affirmations. Check out The Greatest Salesman in The World. It really has very little to do with sales but more like a way of life, all positive. The book is by O.G. Mango. I also enjoy reading and rereading The Art of War.
As for the Vision Board. I had dry erase boards all thru my house when my wife and I met. Now they are in a pile in the closet. Wife wont go with it, lol. I even had inspirations on the mirror in the bathroom. A little overboard I guess.
Gonna check out the books, thx

Im wanting to know more about the positive thinking and positive affirmation training. Silk and I have dealt with alot over the last few years and we are now trying to find a psychologist that helps you with the retraining of the mind as opposed to more meds... Ive gotten a little taste of it years ago and it helped me tremendously. Is this the kind of stuff you're talking about??? If so, I would greatly appreciate a couple recommendations. I've read the Art of War and I enjoyed it, but I think I need something a little more directly connected to start with. This is something Silk and I talk about daily. Many years ago during the height of my issues I was seeing a guy( therapist, I know where you were going with this Presser ) after nearly wrecking my marriage with Silk. He said something very profound that I have said to myself every morning since. He said "Every day you have the opportunity to decide what kind of man you want to be".

OK, I was heavily into this kind of book/thinking a few years back. At the time, I was trying hard to make it as a financial advisor. I didn't make it. When both my wife and I lived on 100% commission with NO base salary whatsoever, it's incredibly easy for any attempt at positive thinking to be completely derailed.

There are others, however, with stronger willpower and continue to persevere. I, however, went back and got a job. It was a helluva learning experience, and I'm not complaining.

That being said, I still feel that there is some power in your state of mind. If I start off the day in a bad state of mind, my day will generally go poorly. The reverse is true as well. I am glad this topic was posted, because I need to get back into this.

ok, i just got done reading "the DNA field, law of resonance" and im half way through Jack Canfields "The success Principles" which is for business but based on the Laws of Attractions, and what you think, visualize, etc.... and he was also in the documentary "the Secret" which i loved!

Now the book "The secret" wasnt as good as watching the movie/documentary

Anthony Robbins book "Unlimited Power" & "Awaken The Giant Within" were both really good, read them both a couple times each, no BS!

I am a firm believer in the laws of attration, and resonance, and how you try getting your body into a positive vibration so it interacts with other positives in the world, and like attracts like , and good fortune follows!

I honest to GOD could go on and on and probably bore you guys and gals to death, but long story short, is if you take it very serious, read them thoroughly, practice the techniques they suggest, you will find what works for you.

I just bought Rhonda Byrnes "hero" book, and "The Magic" which look just like the Secret book, but i havent read those yet,

I Highly Suggest Reading This Book though "The Success principles" by Jack Canfield" its a business/life book. Like i said only half way through it and love it!

And I suggest maybe you start with a smaller book you can breaze through Like "The DNA Field & The Law of Resonance" ....It was pretty good,

My Book "The Secret" I have basically Framed and displayed on top of my Desk at work, lol,

For me, every morning i get to the office early, I put on Spa Music, shut eyes, visualize my perfect life, my perfect financial situation, i put my self there every single day, and laugh if you want, but many times i have tears rolling down my closed eyes when i start visualizing my family, my kids, and wife, in our perfect world, that combined with the Spa music , gets me everytime!

Interesting to see this thread. I went to a Universalist church with a girlfriend years ago and was introduced to the idea of a picture board of your goals by cutting and pasting similar objects and keep it out and look at it every day. Then several years later a friend of mine introduced me to Abraha-Hicks. I had several thing i needed in my life and spent several months focusing on those and using meditation about them and damned if they both didn't occur and then like an idiot since i got what i was looking for, I stopped. I need to start again as there are still things that need to occur in my life, but it works, it works.
