Most soreness you've ever felt?...

Hey Guys,

I'd like to hear the stories of when you've been the most sore from a workout. Ya know, when you literally can't sit on the shitter, or if you did, you ended up breaking your tailbone on the seat b/c you landed at terminal velocity. LOL

Back in my H.S. days, I trained biceps once (switching back to football off-season from swimming season) and was unable to extend my arms for a week. I couldn't brush my teeth or comb my hair without resting my arms on a counter. I could NOT tie my shoes and had to wear flip-flops.

I would walk around with my hands under my chin, gripping my shirt so my biceps would not get stretched or be used. I could barely feed myself.

I probably should have gotten two slings for my arms. Maybe the worst part was trying to explain what in the hell I did to myself every 15 minutes... LOL.

I also have trained my calves into absolute oblivion a couple times. We're talking to the point where I could not stand up and walk without at least a minute of "warm-up." When I did walk, it is totally Frankesteinian - a completely stiff legged shuffle so I don't have use my calfs. Stairs were out of the question. Getting out of bed in the morning was a 5 minute adventure in ridiculous pain. ;^)

Anyone else have the tendency to demolish themselves?...

yes have done it a few times. And getting down on the toilet is not as bad as trying to stand back up!
Especially when younger I recall some marathon sessions that were like 25-30 sets per bodypart! OUCH!
 
i competed in an adventure race a few years ago and by the end of the day (over 10 hours) we were just a few minutes outside of placing. We hauled ass to the finish line and took third place. After padling, running, biking and climbing non stop for that long we were toast. The next three days or so I was in agony and every cell in my body was sore. To top it all off I got poison ivy 2 days later and was so sore i could barely scratch... true agony and a little taste of what hell must be like.
 
I know what Randy is talking about starting hitting weights this week and cycle I have to go to work and do physical job not sure I will get much done..every muscle in my body aches.
I love it!!
 
first time i did squats i did 5 sets. the next day i tried to get out of bed and i walked like a new born giraffe. my legs were not in my control anylonger.
 
Ive been so sore from doing flies that I could barely drive my truck back to the gym the next day. As for injection soreness, the first time I used sust my ass hurt so bad for 4 days and I could barely sit down. I was using 20 guage pins at the time too.
 
I remember one workout in particular. This was several years ago when I had a training partner. We did legs. Heavey squats then did hacks. We were doing negatives and force reps on hacks. Finished up with extensions till my legs were burning so bad I couldn't stand it. At that time I had a mustang with a manual transmision. Every time I came to a stop sign my leg would start shaking trying to hold the clutch in. I had to push down on my knee to keep from poping the clutch and stalling my car.
 
Good thread, lmao. I've probably had every issue you guys have metnioned. Clutch engaging problems (on clen too, wow), toilet, bed movement, and you name. One that comes to mind the freshest is the one I'm still suffering from. HAMSTRINGS! Read an inspiring article on the balance that is lacking in most between the quads and hams. It goes on to say good mornings and romanian deads are the best builders. So I went all out a week ago. Still can't touch my toes. I know to stretch and keep doing it so I have but boy oh boy, that shits TOI-GHT! I can usually place my palms on the floor with locked legs so I've definitely got some seriously strained hams.
 
I have had the usual: can't go down stairs, sit on the shitter, etc.. However, the worst is when you walk more with your hips instead of bending your knees but every now and then you will get a slight bend to the knee without meaning to and you go STRAIGHT to the floor.

My wife thought it was hilarious when I did it at the grocery store about 2 years ago. I, however, did not. She is still icing that eye. lol

Injection soreness??? Geez...I used some QV Test E a year back that felt like someone blew my leg off. Seriously to bend my legs it would bring tears to my eyes...no joke. I hobbled around for a week like that...coming within fractions of a second of falling because I couldn't support my weight....terrible shit.

Me and my friend told each other that several bullets through the legs couldn't feel worse than we did. lol.
 
You gotta love the uncontrollable shaking while pushing in the clutch. It was so bad one time I had to stop and pull over to rest my legs a bit. lmao!
 
I was couch bound last night worked out tues through thursday and was so sore could not walk.
I never thought I overdid it but the layoff kicked my ass.
 
nothing like the quad-glute ham pain from a squat seession after taking time off...the pain just lingers for 3 days.
Then it is alot of fun when ya get a big ham cramp while driving or having sex.....now that is a real"toe curler!!"
 
i ran into someones car after a chest workout one time...i was so sore i couldnt turn the steering wheel, and drove into this dudes car.....shitty thing is i was only 160 at the time and the guys car i ran into was about 280...he was nice about it though, didnt claim it to insurance and even wrote me up a workout and diet after i paid for the damage...MM
