Question on carb cutoff/post workout carbs?

If you have a strict carb cutoff, lets say 6:00pm...and your workout is at 8:00pm....which is more important, sticking to your cutoff or getting your carb-up post workout?

I have to assume the answer is to get your post carb-up in? Then I would also have to assume you'd want to stick to simple carbohydrates as opposed to complex?

I've always been told to get in both simple and complex carbs in post workout. I see just sticking to simple carbs as kind of like the compromise?

Defintely get some carbs post workout. After working out is the prime time to replenish liver glycogen. Just shoot for your normal post workout carbs to spike insulin levels to help force that protein into your muscles.

After your post workout carbs follow your cut off until you go to sleep. Being that late I would also keep fat fairly low as well as you don't want to consume the two too close together.

I have found that it's best to weight train in the A.M. if possible for cutting periods and PM for bulking periods. Test suspension is going to play a huge part of my next bulker for this reason. Instant boost in Test levels are much needed in the afternoon/evening

also, the carb cutoff has offered compelling results for me when cutting and there is no way of sticking to it if I'm working out in the evenings. I just can't let a workout go to waste like that.

???

guess it's up to what you are trying to achieve...i'd say regardless you should have those carbs post workout..your body will continue to eat the calories for a couple hours after you finish working out...you could probably add 15 min of cardio after your weights just to get the motor running a little more so to speak....to keep your metob. rolling with the carbs being added late..

I,m going to do that tonight. Hell of an Idea buddy.

I think you definitely need some carbs post workout to restore glycogen, when I am cutting I have tried not ingesting carbs after a late workout and I just feel flat and unrecovered the next day

bump what everyone else has said.....never miss a post workout shake.

how can you workout that late? by the end of the day, Im burnt out.
