D.O.T Physical.... FAILED!

OK fellas, so today I go and take my D.O.T. physical for UPS to start driving the package cars... a 60-70k/year position... physically I was in great shape, good BP, good pulse, etc... but I failed because I had protein in my urine and the Dr., who was a fat slob said it wasnt normal, that getting in too much protein is bad. Im only getting in about 300g per day. But yeah, he cleared me, but said I had 90 days to get my protein levels down or he would revoke my certificate. WHAT THE HELL??? They arent going to go down! I tried to explain to him that I bodybuild and that I take in a lot of protein and yeah, sometimes my body might not use it all... who cares if i piss it out??? I guess they would have been happier if I was a fat slob with high BP... what do i do?

How much do you weigh bro? I would just drop your protein the week of the next test down to more "average" amounts and you should be fine. Are you currently off cycle? Taking any other supps? I would imagine that you could keep up on your amino's and glutamine without the protein being as high and still be making gains. I assume this is their company doctor so you can't go to another but it's too bad they are so far behind the times.

the other thing you should do is see if they'll let you take the test in 30 or 60 days to see how you do this way if they still come back high you have some time to make adjustments for the 90 day test. Or see if you can get some advice from your own doc and maybe they'll test it for you.

Oh the irony....that test translates into only one thing for the company - "you are a liability".

and you will probably live longer than 90% of all their employees.

I AM currently ON cycle....Test E/Tren E/Eq/ T-Bol.... I think the Tren is what has my kidney levels kinda out of place which is causing the f* up in my urine. How long after being off the Tren E do yall think things will be back to normal? The Doc asked me if I used A.A.S... of course I said no. Any other advice?

OK... after speaking with a good friend he suggested that the Tren is what is wearing down my kidneys thus letting the protein slip through my urine... does this sound right? Anyhow, Im quitting this cycle ASAP.. I have to get my stuff back in check cause I HAVE TO GET THIS JOB!!!

Protein in the urine is a bad thing for normal folks since it indicates kidney probelms. And for a weight lifter, too much can also damage your kidneys.

Tren is hard on your kidneys so your buddy may be right about this. Of course you may have damaged kidneys.

My doc recommended that I drink a LOT of water.

If I was in your shoes, I would get off cycle. A week before the test, I would eat what a normal person would eat in terms of protein and drink a ton of water. And DON'T lift since damaged muscles will produce more protein in your urine. Basically, take a week off.

If you still are high, you may have a real probelm. Or you may just be some big dude.

hope it works out for you bro! I don't mean to steal your thread southern but how long did it take for you to go from a loader to a driver. Here in Cali I got a friend who has been loading for 4 fucking years and still has not be offered a driving position. It takes for ever to become a ups driver. But its a harsh job with alot of BS from upper management(faggots!) There is a driver here in my area who works like a a mad man and made 110K last year. Good luck and hope you get that job bro!

OK... I called my primary health physician which happens to be a sports physician and he wrote me a "waiver" as of 1pm today my DOT certificate is good for 2 years!!!!!!! YAAAY!!

Elmo, Ive been working at UPS for 5 years now, I spent 2.5 years loading 53 ft. trucks in 115 degree heat and the last 2.5 years in small sort with all the women throwing envelopes or packages less than 8 lbs.... My HUB employess 2,000 warehouse workers and 400 package car drives and 150 feeder drivers (semi trucks). So in a nut shell it took me 5 years to move up. After 2 years I should be able to bid for a feeder position just driving a semi for 8hours per day. Over the next 2-3 years lifting will be tough... if any of you know driving for UPS isnt an easy job, its ball busting work, but the pay/benefits/retirement is worth it. Its also not a 9-5 job... its more like 8-7M-F except Christmas time then its 8-9 or 10 pm.... Ill keep yall posted on how things work out.

Congratulations! That other doctor sounded like a real ass.
