craziest thing you've ever done to get a workout in...

Spiderman's post about workouts in bad hotel gyms reminded me of a time when I had deadlifts scheduled on my workout and literally had nothing at the hotel except old crappy universal and nautilus machines. I set one of the machines, I think it was a leg curl machine, up on the ends of two reebok steps and I proceeded to deadlift the machine itself by lifting it up on it's opposite side lifting from the side with the weight stack. Not the best workout but at least I did what I intended to do that day!

I Was Doing A Side Job On A Sunday When I Was Young And Knew I Would Miss The Gym As It Closed Early Sundays So I Started Curling The Concrete Blocks I Was Setting In An Outside Wall Unit, lol,

I guess I need to get more creative like you all...I had legs this week in one of the hotel gyms and they didn't have anything to squat so I did body squats in sets of 70 with 30 seconds rest in between. Not the greatest, but definitely a switch from what I usually do. Maybe I should've just put my wife on my shoulders and squated her...would'nt really do a good job, but I would've been better than body squats. Yeah, that's the plan for the next time I run into this problem, just gotta get her on board. (right)

it's more of an entertainment thing than a work out thing but my boxer has been used as part of my work out. we do "Puppy Curls" and "Puppy Squats". Curls are self explanitory but the squats involves me slingin her behind my neck . she doesnt really like that one, but i have a sadistic sense of humor and i give her lots of cuddles and playtime so she doesnt mind TOO much.

hahaha how old is your Boxer pup? i've got an eight year old male Boxer named Cassius who is a great workout partner!

If it's chest day and I can't make the gym I'll walk around and just start pushing people.

Seriously though, my old roommate had random weight plates laying around so I put them in plastic shopping bags and did curls, lateral raises and shrugs.

Now that's pretty funny.

Old pots with the wire handle connected to each side arched over the top of the pot.
Filled them w/water and did side laterals and curls. Done this w/large books also.

My dad used to work at a Prentice Hall distributors warehouse during the summer so he would collect lots of slightly damaged books (since they can't be sold). I remember putting loads of these books into a huge duffle bag and doing curls with it.

I use to curl 5 gallon buckets filled with water, that i was getting ready to mix cement with. Also i would use my 40 gallon yard barrel full of grass clippings, for shoulder presses. kind of gay, but better that being a barrel A$$.

im a welder fabricator so i work with heavy shit all day if i cant make the gym ill shoulder press pipe curl a small beam or something. Hell ive done squats with beams too kinda hurts though. if the gyms closed after i get off work then sometimes ill drag shit through the yard build up stamina and kinda compound workout. also do shrugs when carrying stuff too.
