sweat management

Hey what do you guys do to stay comfortable at the gym? I wear long sleeve shirts and hoodies (not the type to wear tanks or wife beaters and other shit of that sort) and I find the sweat to be rather uncomfortable by about mid workout.

Is there a way to make things more comfortable--like a special materiel or something? I have an underarmor shirt but it doesn't seem to do shit. Anyone tried nike's brand or have any suggestions?

Nike and Underarmor make sweat resistant stuff. I was taking a look at it on Sunday but it didn't seem to be anything special. I used an UA long sleeve under shirt when playing ball and that seemed to keep me feeling drier, not as weighed down from sweat as something like cotton would do.

nike aint no better its actualy a thicker material then ua, the best one o own is a no name type shirt that is a knock off of au and nike, i forget the name , ill check later its the best by far i think u might like if u indeed like those type of shirts like i do,

Under Armor and Nike shirts are usually the best but you have to make sure they are the Dri-Fit or in UA's case they are made of the sweat wicking material. Everlast makes a good shirt as well and they are cut very comfortably so they stay close to the skin. If the shirt is too loose it can't absorb the sweat and get it off of your skin.
A lot of the shirts out there do the same thing like Presser mentioned but again the same companies make regular tees as well that don't have that magic Dri-Fit ability ;)

hmm, maybe my problem is that it int tight enough...thanks for the info fellas

if u got wrinkles in ur shirt while its on its not tight enough, lol

i just sweat so it doesnt bother me i got 2 fans on right now and im sweating a bit. In the gym it just gets insane i get little puddles from me under the bench and stuff. I always wipe the bench and shit off when im done but they need to mop when i leave haha.

I always try to wear some kind of cotton shirt, not too loose, not too tight. I find that absorbs the sweat the best for me--even better than those hi-tech dry weave materials.

It's 96º here at the moment and I'm sweating my balls off, decided to just strip down and sit in my underwear until it cools off a bit... Damn I need to buy a few more AC units.
