Sports Illustrated NFL combine AAS article

I think it's funny that everyone has been so focused on steroid use in baseball when it is obvious that football is rampant with it. Even some of the baseball bigwigs have been complaining, "Why don't they look at the NFL? Why are they targeting us?"

I would imagine the percentage of guys on HGH in the NFL is HIGH, there's no way they can take that kind of abuse week after week and keep performing at such a high level. I don't care how good your genetics are!

I just think it's ridiculous that they are targeting any professional sport. These guys get paid to perform game after game. Who cares if they are taking x, y, and z. You might say "but biggerstronger what about the kids?". To be honest...all this media crap is probably increasing the amount of kids that want to take them. Before all of this kids didn't know that any athelete for sure did anything. Now all they have to do is open a newspaper or turn on the TV to find out exactly what a certain guy took. Now the kids think that if they track down and get it they will perform like a pro baseball player, track and field athelete or football player. It should have been left alone. The federal government has no business getting into sports.

I WAS TOLD BY A AN EXPLAYER ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO THAT HE THINKS THAT 99% OF ALL NFL IS ON HGH CAUSE HE KNEW 99% OF HIS TEAM WAS ON HGH,LOL

AND FOR THAT EXACT REASON THE HEALING RECOVERY ASPECT

Well but bigger...this is all ridiculous. But it will continue until Presser is elected president and not only makes it legal, but a requirement to keep your citizenship.

Ex collegiate Footballer here. Once you are at the level I was at or higher, steroids are making VERY little difference in whether you can compete, or if there is a diff between two similarly skilled players (b/c all are gifted at this level)
BUT there is absolutely positively NOTHING better than being 'on' during the dog days of camp, AND/OR the late stages of the season when everyone is beat up, tired etc. from such a long grind. My seasons typically lasted about 14 games. The pros are 16 without the playoffs (where you really make your money) you would be crazy not to want to perform your best. And their camp is even longer! I could go on for days.
Prediction1- If they NFL didn't test for steroids, nothing would change.
2- If they increase rules and test for HGH etc. It will be a sad day.
