R.I.P. Bentley my friend my pal....

Just went out in the backyard and wrapped up my 14.5 year old miniature Schnauzer. Ive been away most of the day he had been getting pretty bad the last couple days but didnt appear to be in any pain at all so i think last night he just fell asleep and left me. He was a great dog a little loud at times but i still loved him with all my heart. my other 12 year old Schnauzer doesnt know what to do he just keeps wanting to play prob so he and i both dont think about him. Starting to hit me pretty hard i havent cried in 10 years and im pretty damn close right now. I hope hes in a better place right now and knows how much we loved him. My sister got him on her 13th bday and ive been pretty much taking care of him since i was 8. Sure am gonna miss him, Hopefully Chipper my other one has several years left with me. Most of you prob dont care to read this but i had to say sometime everyone i know is at work and some of the guys on here are better friends then the ones i have in town. Sorry for the long drawn out b.s.

I had a border collie when I was a kid and it got sick when I was in my late teens. I went home to one day and "Champ" came and got me and like led me into the yard. He rubbed his head on me then licked me for a while, it was sad. It was a few minutes later he was dead. It was like he knew and he wanted to spend his last few minutes with me. It is strange how bonded we can be to animals, but he was like a friend to me. He was always friendly and never complained! Sorry to hear.

i have a pitbull i almost put down due to biting, and i just couldnt. I feel your pain bro. I couldnt imagine my dialy life and routine without my dogs...... real sorry to hear bud

thanks guys im doing ok Just kinda hit me hard. I knew it was coming but sometimes nothing gets you ready. trying to decide what i wanna do with the little guy. My veteranarian is more of a dog lover then most lol. He has land that he has a pet cemetery on. So i might do that. If i bury him in my back yard my other pup will prob try to dig him up. Thanks for the replys guys really appreciate it.

thanks for the comments guys im better today still kinda sad when i look out in the backyard and let my other pup in and theres not another one following him. It was his time though i just gotta face that and realize hes better off wherever he is now.

really sorry to hear it bro. I know if my boy dies I'll need to take a few days to get my shit together because he's been there for me for the past 10 years and has been my best friend. Hope you can find some joy in the dog you still have and solace in knowing he's in a better place.

im trying man. its just tough when everytime i let my dog out to go piss he sniffs around and wimpers looking for his brother. My pup now well hes 12 not a pup i got him when i was only 10 bought him with my own bday money and hes been more then a friend to me as well I dont know what i will do when he goes too. thanks for the condolences guys i know some people think it sounds silly but im closer with my dogs then most of my friends and alot of my family. Hell i talk to my dog all the time lol.
