Fasting Cardio

How many of you guys believe in cardio first thing in the morning? I know people who swear by it. If I were to do it, it would do cardio then eat then lift about an hour later. You think thats too soon and not enough food in between?
 
I have done it before, but never lifted so soon after. The one thing I have noticed with it is that it really increases my appetite throughout the day. Sry I'm not more help bruda
 
I dont do it, i do cardio right after my workouts. Always heard that post workout your body has more GH in the system then normal i could be wrong on that but that would = more fat burning normally. I just dont think it makes that big of a difference to be honest. Ive done both and get about the same results. I think its a little too close to lifting. maybe a couple of hours and 2 meals or something. I think 1 hour if your doing high intensity isnt quite enough. Thats just My opinion though.
 
I did some this morning. Got up early and hiked up a couple of miles to the top of one of the peaks around here. Got home and I felt sick...now I feel like I've got some chills working and feel like shit. Eff doing that again!!!
 
sucks you feel like shit bro but damn that would be some great cardio and good time. Hell the closest mountain i have near me is well you know down southeastern about 4 hours or towards lawton about 1.5.
 
if I do cardio on an empty stomach I burn as much muscle as I do fat. I dont recommend it for ectomorphs.
 
Personaly for me doing cardio first thing in the morning is the way to go...Also, for a double wammy effect, do cardio the night before bed and then get up and do it again first thing in the morning and watch the fat melt off your body...Now the night cardio you should have protein afterwards and maybe some fats, but in the morning cardio have pro/carbs (fast) and then wait an hour or two then lift...
 
Gen OT but do you take any of the beef liver tabs/amino tabs such as uni liver? I figured taking them b4 cardio could help maintain some muscle.
 
you gonna be doing high intensity cardio or just walking etc? I may switch it up a bit just to keep from being so tired after working out.
 
Mainly low intense (Elyptical, TM Walking) Sometimes I get on the stairmaster and that gets me breathing somethin fierce, or I'll do sprint intervals.
 
Personaly I hate doing cardio in the morning on no Food , I go into Ketosis and start smelling and tasting Amonia, anyone else get this? My first show ever I was in ketosis much of the diet doing morning cardio and being y first show i was determined to win it and and not embarres myself, so pushed it hard and i got to tell ya I selled ammonia for weeks and tasted it,lol, yuck!
 
really? thats weird lol. Did you notice better fat burning in the morning compared to later on in the day?
 
Usually a shake, something fast acting, then a bannana or apple after that. Press I've felt sick and nausious b4 but never smelled amonia. Maybe you just need to shower more.
 
press, that happens to me all the time, especially the last month of dieting. I actually try to prevent going into ketosis - i think I burn muscle alot easier in ketosis. Now if I hit ketosis, I up my carbs until it subsides.
 
thats rough bro, i didnt know burning muscle was that easy on body types like yours. In a way i would like it cause i could stay lean and eat anything, in a way i wouldnt like it because i dont have a problem putting on size its just the fat that comes with it lol.

I look at is like this...any body type has it advantages and disadvantages. I try not to pry on the disadvantages and how I cant put on mass like alot of "bigger" guys. But then I think how I see my abs at least for a month or two of the year and most of those guys have never seen theres.

I think how it sucks I dont have a bodybuilders genetic bodytype, but maybe Im just in the wrong sport. If I were and endurance athlete or a swimmer i would have the perfect body type - tall, thin, long arms and legs. Only problem is now I sink like a rock when I swim :D
 
haha at sink like a rock. Yeah i hear that man with your body type you would be a great swimmer. Ive seen my abs like once haha. Hopefully in about 16 weeks i will see them once again hahaha. :)
