So apparently he got busted for steroids and suspended for 1 year. Honestly, I didn't even know he was still competing...how old is this guy now? No disrespect to the man b/c I know he'd whip my ass and he's in incredible shape for his age, but there's got to come a time when you hang it up. What are some other great athletes who have hung on past their prime???

The only one I can think of is MJ, but he came back after his prime and I think it was for business reasons as well. The Wizards needed a reason for crowds to come out and watch them and he gave them that. Plus, he was in the top 30% of NBA players when he came back at 40...but it was sad to see the Jordan I watched as a kid be reduced to the player that he was at 40. I remember when I saw him get a break away and he just rolled it in for a lay-up. That's when I knew it wasn't the same man.

aside from Couture not too many full contact fighters-hell maybe that's the reason he started using again was to be able to compete with the younger guys-not gonna happen he's still stuck in his old ways and hasn't evolved as much as he should have as a fighter...and this is by his own admission.

Itll take more than a little gear to help him beat tito. Maybe a crowbar. LOL. Tito isn't my boy but he has proven he can handle Ken. LOL

I think his jaw is a little suspect, probably from all the shots he has taken over the years. He looks "on" - you would think after all these
years he's be slick enough to beat the test. Hey, we are talking about Ken, right? any word on Frank??

it is what it is man. When you reach a certain age, certain steps need to be taken to continue with such a career

I agree with jon but he should have let go a few years ago or after the beating tito gave him.

He will never come close to taking Tito - and you are right, he needs to be on to continue with his career. But I would think he'd be able to beat the test as well. Unless it was a deliberate attempt to get him into retirement...who knows.

I just watched that fight with tito again last night. I think if shamrock can stay on his feet, he can beat tito. Shamrock just doesnt know what to do on the ground.

nay I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, you want my honest opinion not that you asked:satan:

I think Shamrock purposely throws certain fights and bets against himself...he's in his 40's no retirement and he's putting 3 kids through college

I've watched the 1st fight with Shamrock and Tito at least 2 dozen times and there was a point in the fight where Shamrock had Tito punch drunk on his feet and could have ended the fight- instead he tied Tito up until Tito regained his senses... no fighter with any experience would do that.

you mean to tell me that he can't defend himself when Tito is in his guard-bullshit...I trained with Ken in St. Louis for a seminar and that guy knows everything about positioning on the ground

he's still one of my favorite fighters but the bullshit is getting old-back in his 30s he was a pitbull now it's all about the money-he's not Randy Couture!
