MII storage

Does melanotan II need to be stored in the fridge after its been mixed in BW like other peptides?

and I take it you "apply" Subq?

I wouldnt see how IM would be nearly as beneficial

Dosing the powdered forms of the melanotan peptides is identical to how diabetics dose with insulin. Subcutaneous injections with injection sites rotated with some frequency (especially for longer term dosing). Best thing to do is to prepare a set of syringes with reconstituted peptide and then freeze them (and the remaining bacteriostatic water) in ziplock plastic bags in a refrigerator that doesn't have defrost cycles. Then just pull out a syringe as needed, let thaw, and administer. When the series of syringes are used up then repeat the process (as needed) after thawing out the remaining bacteriostatic water.

Cheers,
melanotan - afamelanotide - Scenesse

been on this 2 days now at 1mg/day for "loading". I'm white enough to be named Casper so we'll see what this can do for someone as pale as me.

so far no nausea...thankfully. Not a huge fan of that....but who is?
Although not too bad, the ill-timed erections are noticeable.

If you break the dosing into two injections of 0.5 mg (ie: one in the morning one at night) you should find that side effects will be minimized and that the pigmentation will likely be a bit more brown.

For starting off 1 mg / day is fairly high. Usually it's better for folks to start off with 0.25 mg to first see how their body responds and then to gradually increase the dosage. This will also tend to limit the secondary effects and allow a person's system to become familiarized with having the peptide in the circulatory system.

i actually did .5mg in two doses yesterday. I will continue that process when possible. sometimes I dont stay at my house so one dose a day is all thats possible.

thanks for the info melanton!

You're welcome. Some additional advice: Take regular photos (ie: daily) of yourself in the same setting with the same light (also try to limit white correction on your camera if possible). Folks have been known to lose track of how pigmented they become and as a result get too dark. With photos that'll be less of an issue because the camera/photos will be a sort of witness of your progression. Also be patient and just go slow in what you are doing. Don't try to rush things. The more you try to rush things the less you'll be likely to be satisfied with the end results.

Know that generally speaking the full pigmentation effects of dosing will not be realized until about 10-11 days after the last dosing (in the "loading" phase). This is also likely part of the reason that folks have gone too dark.

thats good info. I was gonna load with 1g/day for one week. then go to .5mg twice a week.

I figured since Im so white naturally, I dont have to really worry about getting too dark.

would you say this stuff has a "half life"? If so, what would it be. Im assuming it has something like that from people getting themselves too dark. They keep dosing it without realizing that the last few doses still haven't kicked in.

The peptide itself has a plasma (blood) half life of hours however the melanocortin receptors that the peptide binds to in the melanocytes remain bound (think "activated") for months. The pigmentation that comes from using a melanotan peptide will generally not completely fade for 3 months or possibly longer depending upon your skin type.

wow... i need to do more reading on this .... so this is for 'tanning' purposes? ... darkens the skin evenly through out the entire body? .. and typically the darkening effects slowly fade over a 3 month period. How long untill you start to see true darkening effects? And the browning of your skin pigment turns how brown? is it more of a tanning type of change or dark like a freckle? Last but not least, someone with an ethnic background i.e. italian who gets dark easy anyway, would it change the way I tan naturally?

and if i'm 'totally off here' ... let me know... and i'll just delete this and read up on it more... i know better just feeling a bit lazy this morning...

Wow, this is all very good information, and Sticky, those are all good questions.

i'm looking forward to the answer... i get dark easily... and quickly.. i'd hate to get "TOO" dark.. LOL ... and i guess one last question.. cuz I'm curious... is there ANY chance that this can increase your chances (or protect) against skin cancer? ... does it change the elasticity of the skin? darken stretch marks or scars? ... summer is coming and a 'substitute tan' could be awesome... but hell outside of just selling/buying it i'd hope that these questions were easily found...

especially if it has benefits outside of tanning... what are all the pro's and con's of this peptide? ... if anyone knows... please.. jump in. If it's not legit info and all hearsay then let us know... thanks in advance...

and when i mean selling/buying I mean that.. i'd hope we don't just get the 'good info' so that it increases others sales.... we have to know the pro's and con's of anything we use on our bodies... and either accept them.. or try something else... that's what the board is for anyway... learn by each other's body types etc... i was not implying that i supply anything.. lol .... i just don't want all the pro's w/ no side effects listed.. i want to know it all ..

Sorry, I haven't got a whole lot of time right now to respond to all of these questions.
Here's what I recommend folks do who want to understand these peptides better.
Read (and follow links found therein) Dan Gwartney MD's excellent article in the March '09 edition of Fitness RX for Men that covers primarily melanotan II here:
Melanotan II - The New Underground Tanning Drug
and use that as a stepping off point to further pursue information about these peptides.

If/when I have more time I'll try to get back to this thread.

Cheers
