More sleep = better gains.

I had surgery a couple weeks ago. Its left me pretty much bed ridden all day. I can get up for a couple hours, but the pain starts to really bother me. So i sit in bed with my feet elevated.

Im still managing to make it to the gym. I've been training upper body just as hard as normal. Infact, my chest routine is very specific right now cause im trying something new (rest between reps).

Im blown away how much faster my body is recovering. Its almost as if im taking a boat load of gear. Im not on any gear at the moment, i've been off for 6 weeks actually. Test e was the longest ester i ran. Im not on any pain meds either.

Does this equate to size/strength gains???- no. Not yet anyway. But i can tell you that im still lifting the same weights as on my cycle. I actually look better now then when i was cycle cause i dont have any bloat.

I know its nearly impossible for you guys to sleep for 12 hours, given your daily schedules. But if you get a chance... try it out!!!

Sleep and diet is the main thing that will dictate gains, and yelid muscle grwoth.. I love to sleep, so I do it as often as I can, at them same time I dont over sleep either.. eat and sleep, eat and sleep is my motto....

If my body would let me sleep that long at once, I'd love it. Woke up at 3 am this morning and had to make myself go back to sleep. I seem to have that happen the night after a really good leg workout. I catch up a lot on the weekends taking naps here and there. It's very true however that you really need the sleep to recover properly. If I wasn't able to catch up on my sleep, I'd overtrain.

I notice the same thing when I'm training. I'm going to have to wait for at least 2 weeks to find out the prognosis on my bicep.... I'm hoping that I can find something to help with my recovery.

i usually cant sleep this much. It has something to do with the surgery, maybe the drugs i was taking. But all of a sudden, I can go back to sleep after the wife goes to work- for an additional 3 hours...lol.

some nights i only avg. 5 or 6 hours. then work, gym, school for 15 hrs straight. but i seriously dont think it effects my gains

I am lucky to sleep 5 hours. I have taken meds and other crap. I wish I could sleep.

I am going to do a sleep study tonight wearing a little monitoring device on my finger all night to see what's going on. Hopefully I don't have sleep apnea.
