Yeah dude is correct as he normally is. Nolva is a SERM selective estrogen receptor modulator there are a couple types of serms one for bone one for uteran or something like that cant remember. It works by occupying the space in the breast tissue so that the estrogen cant get in there and cause problems or gyno. Nolva does nothing to lower actual estrogen though just in the breast tissue, and it also raises testtosterone a small amount therefore causing a rise in estrogen in the body but since it cant on its own keep the estrogen down you still get a rise.
AI's actually bind with the aromatizing enzyme therefore not allowing the test to convert into estrogen, it cannot surpress it completely but enough to keep the levels within the normal ranges. Aromasin and Adex are the most common, im a big fan of aromasin its a suicidal steroidal inhibitor and it will not have any rebound estrogen problems like adex might, in laymens terms think of it as aromasin stops the aromatize enzyme at its source and shuts it down permanently but adex only stops it temporarily, hopefully that makes sense. Its past my bed time and i just blazed through that if you need anymore clarification or any other questions just pm me ill get back at ya tomorrow.
