Needing to switch it up completely...

Yeah its that time been doing the same thing for over 4 months now but switching exercises im thinking about going back to DC. Anything new out that is comparable gains wise to DC? Im not a huge fan of the workouts with DC but you cant argue with the gains you make with it. What are you guys doing in your routines anything special?
 
about 3 exercises per part normally smaller less complete movements prior to the compound. Say fly's and hammer strength outer chest before db press. 3 sets per exercise 2 being workups and the third being pretty heavy except on the main compound movement being to failure. Doing similar to this for every part switching up the exercises every 2 to 3 weeks. Im also just now introducing more calories slowly, on hrt dose right now not cycling again till late august to september depending on how bloodwork looks. thanks Chris good to be back home where i belong :).

Your routine looks good to me. What about a week off ,did u take any the last four months? I take a week of after every four, five weeks of training. I know is hard to break routine but is necesary to avoid overtraining. Never lost any strenght after a week off.
 
There's the 5/3/1 workout, and I have also heard good things about the FST-7 method as well.
 
im gonna look into the 5/3/1 routine thanks guys.
and danny i took 3 days off last week and 4 this week. Just gonna do some light weights thursday and friday and some cardio. gonna get back to it next week. I took probably a total of a week and a half off during the 4 months.
 
I think I got addicted to DC and never took the REAL timeoff that I was supposed to, just a bit more volume and less frequency.... now I'm going to have to really take it easy and play with the pink weights for a while. If I were you I would take 2 weeks totally off, then start DC. I wish I could go back and do that. Even with my injuries I trained everything I could and pushed the pace on the injured bodypart. I wish I had someone to slap me straight sometimes.

Yeah i think im gonna start tuesday. ive taken a total of 9 straight days off i just cant stay out anymore i feel like shit and im so flat its unreal. I feel ya on being dumb with injuries ive done it more then once and its not fun makes you feel like an idiot and shit could have been avoided. We are all stubborn when it comes to our bodies though.

Yeah, I did DC for over 3 years...but as I got older (36 now) I coundnt recover from the workouts...Heavy ass weights, kill my joints...(I still go heavy as I can, but slower with good form)...As I got more into the cycle, of DC (toward the middle, when I was the strongest) My form got a tad sloppy, cause I was trying to beat my log book every workout...But yeah, DC works, and it can make you big as a house...If you eat right...
