I know its a combination of both strict diet and cardio, but if one helps more than another, which would it be? Whats the split in your opinion? 50/50 or does one favor the other slightly?

Right now im doing 30 minutes of cardio am on an empty stomach 7 days a wk.

M-TH the only carbs entering my body are from oats (39g), sweet potato (24g), and brown rice (46g)

FRI and SAT the only carbs entering my body are from oats (52g), sweet potato (24g), 2 slices whole wheat bread (26g), peanut butter (13g), 2 scoop of UP YOUR MASS (26g)

SUN is cheat day

*** Did not take out dietary fiber or sugar alcohol in carb numbers

for me when cutting, macro timing is huge, so i would eat all those carbs around my workouts and if i'm not working out that day, my carbs are less than 10% of my total cals

This is where you fail. You can not have a cheat day everyweek. your body will never adjust. IMO, i dont like cheat days.

Thats kinda what im doing now. My cardio is around 730am most days and my training is between 1pm-2pm. My last meal with carbs in it is around 5pm. Last 2 meals of the day has little (under 5g from veggie) to no carbs.

First I was doing no cheat days, then everyone told me to add a cheat meal. Then I added a cheat meal and everyone said I had to add a cheat day. Im just doing what im told brotha.. lol

So if I take away the cheat day and make it a cheat meal again, does the rest of my carb intake look on point IYO? You asked me a few weeks ago before I went on vacation if I ever tried carb loading, so I looked into it.

M-TH 100-110g
F-S 150g-160g
SUN 400-500g

But if I cant cheat, where should my carbs be on my high day? And when I say cheat, I dont mean im eating pizza and cheesesteaks, im just upping my good carbs and adding 2 full servings of UP YOUR MASS which is considered good carbs by most ppl. Thats over 120 carbs just from that.

You are a moron if you utilize a cheat DAY. You need 1 (read that ONE, not two not three, not a day, ONE) cheat meal a week. During that time eat as much as you can in a two hour period, and make sure it is VERY high in carbs. For my cheat meal last week, I had a one pound bacon avocado cheesburger, with onion rings with some jalapeno mayo and a big rootbeer float. DEAR GOD that was so frickin delicious.

Anyway, the cardio on an empty stomache is a good thing, but from the sound of it, you need to drop the carbs further M-TH. I am talking slowly pushing yourself into keto. I think that will definitely provide the results you are looking for.

Moron is kind of harsh,i think... I have a cheat day and my bf% went from 17 to 10 in about 4 months. Only thing I did different was cut carbs mon-sat to under 100 and add morning cardio on an empty stomach. But I had sunday to take in as much as I wanted. Now I didn't eat a bunch of shit all day, but pancakes, mashed potatoes, and sweet tea got put back in the mix.

im a moron, a tool, and a doughboy according to shaptown. he is kinda like kai greene, where you gotta get through a lot of fluff before he gets to his point when he speaks. I have to say, although his mannerisms are something id expect out of a 15 year old on the misc section of bb.com, he gives decent advice from time to time.

Like you said leather, on cheat day im not talking about eating cheesesteaks and onion rings and all that fried goodness, but I will throw in a lot more good carbs where i would throw in a side of cottage cheese or asparagus during M-TH

And by no means was I disrespecting Kai, as he is my favorite bodybuilder to watch and learn from, its just like he speaks in poems a lot of the time where Jay or Branch just give it to you straight.

for my cheat meal, i mostly just eat a nice large pizza with grilled chicken....i just like having alot of carbs...
mmm...can't wait for saturday lol

It is all diet. I call it food focus. There is 3 things that make you fat, simple carbs, starches and fat. Now take what is left out, lean meats and non starchy vegetables. EAt all you want of these just restrict the others. If you have to eat starches have them for breakfast. DROP THE RICE AND OATS. Apply discipline to your food selection, Mental Discipline.
