Jump rope, treadmill....

I've been jumping rope recently for around 10 minutes a day for my cardio. I'll admit at first I had no smoothness at all in it, but I'm getting better with it. I love it for cardio because it's quick and effective. It's nice because I can take it anywhere and only need a few minutes to get in some cardio. Has anyone else been using a jump rope for cardio or what's the best cardio you've found works for you?

We use to jump rump for football and coach said every ten minutes of jump rope is evuivalent to running 3 miles! I loved jumping rope back in the day but couldn't imagine trying it now lol

I'll tell you one thing, I felt like a total retard when I first started. I'm still no master, but I can go a few minutes without stopping because I screwed up. It's a great feeling to know I can jump rope, I was really humbled by the damn thing. I've read somewhere that 10 minutes of jumping rope will burn as much if not more cals than 30 minutes on the treadmill

I really like jump rope as cardio/warming up! I do around a variation of different jumps for my warm up and it really helps.
