Push Ups

I want to start doing basic push up before bed time. I will start off by doing 75 a night. What are some variations I can do to hit lower and upper chest?

For upper just prop your feet up on a chair. For lower, move your hands down futher to the ribs.

pushups built my chest to the way it is now...pretty massive definetly the biggest part of my body genetics help too since my father has a big chest as well but i definitely recommend pushups to help build the chest

please don't do 75 pushups RIGHT before bed. I mean if you did 25, 3 times daily spaced out to simply keep a nice chest pump that is one thing, but honestly 75 pushups right before bed I would believe would elicit minimal gains for maximum recovery time.

At least that is my experience...Perhaps others have differing opinions on the topic, but I believe that this would be overtraining and of much lower efficacy than a DC-like training program that would pack on strength and size in your chest in no time.

I go to the gym 3-5 times a week and train one body part per day. If there are 4 weeks in a month I am only doing it 4 times in a month. I dont think I will see any improvement for years. This is why I am trying to add some push up before bedtime. I started doing push up in oct and my deadline was april (6 months) to see some changes.

Others may have a different view on this...Input appreciated.

I lived in a foreign country for a while and a lot of the time the gym was out of the question so I did 200 pushups every morning (usually 4 sets of 50) and anytime I went to the gym my bench was great I didn't lose like I thought I would and my chest size increased a lot....not sure why the freak I'm not doing more push-ups at home now. Thanks for the reminder!! But I think it would def help reach your goals faster. And at 75/day I don't think you'd over train. Best way to see is try it.
