Rack Pull videos....

Here's the first set of 500, I only got 4 because I misloaded the bar. I had 5 45's on the left side and 4 on the right and totally lost focus right before this set

And the other at 500...I figured I'd mark each plate to show that there's 5 plates and a 2.5 plate

Thanks man, I actually felt weak on them, but shortly after I did the last set I really started to get focused. I went and did T-Bar rows and work up to a decent weight, I surprisingly had one of the best back days I've had in a while and these didn't feel great

You made each set/rep look like cake for you bro, seems that you did it with ease... Great form too... Now I gotta start doing some Racks. Your inspiring me champ!

impressive. I have been doing them recently but Ive been more strict. Question. Is it better to let them slam down like that or slow the movement and come back up. Not sure whats the most affective part of the lift actually. Ive only done them twice now so any help is apprecaited

I let them go, the lift is more about the pull. The focus is on the hams and lower back, as long as you control it on the way down, you're fine. Some people will drop it at the top to conserve energy, but I hold onto the bar throughout so that I don't lose my grip.

Looked great. Those 500's looked easy for you.

I'm going to go up next week or the week after, whenever I decide to do them again. Typically I do these every other week and do deads in between. I love these because they are a more aggresive lift.

I checked out your videos last night when I got home from work.. You are one strong fucker.. Didn't you say you was around 165 lbs..

I kept thinking of that one gym everyone talks about where the alarm goes off if you drop weights or grunt or anything. What is that, Planet Fitness?

Yea, I think that's it. At this gym I was at nobody even pays attention to that shit which is nice. I mean you've got guys shoulder pressing 160# db's so the only thing to do is to drop them when you're done. I know I wouldn't even try to bring those down easily or drop them on my legs to keep from making noise.

This was the gym I grew up training at in my hometown, I love the atmosphere, I've never got a workout like I do here anywhere else. Plenty of knowledge for both bodybuilding and powerlifting. There's a lot more MMA guys in there now too which is nice to get the change of pace in there. It's the type of gym that women hate coming to because it's like blood in a shark tank when there's a female in there and most people that have never been there are often too intimidated to start, but the guys there just keep to themselves and don't make fun of anyone and are more than willing to help
