Just got another Epidural shot yesterday and well so so

I hurt like hell after my first round of epidural shots for a week it hurt worse then I had a little tad of relief for a few weeks if that.

Now this time I must say my neck and back feel instantly better by a solid 50% which is stellar compared to before.

Spoke to doctor and he said we will try one more round of shots around spring break and if they don't help then he will do the neck fusion. The shots are just a band aid masking pain so I don't fucking get why he will not just do the Gosh dam fusion now cause these shots wear off eventually . Makes no fucki g sense.

Anyhow I wanted to just say that yes I woke up from anastecia and didn't die like I thought I might lol and that this shot actualy has my neck feeling alot better.

Makes me want to jab my ass and run to the gym , ok whom I kidding I been jabbing my ass but I haven't been worki g out much so we'll see

Haha, glad it is helping. But it sounds like you are right, I don't see how the shots will fix it permantely.
 
I agree 100%. I'm glad you have a little relief, but the surgery is inevitable! All of this is just wasting time that could be spent recovering from the surgery and getting back into your normal life.

Exactly bro!!! It makes ZERO sense! But again my neck does feel better this time and would rate my current pain now a 6 out of 10 and ten being unbearable pain. So that's a huge help so far but again the pain will be a ten again in a month or two.:curse::curse::curse:
 
Well i will hit the gym tonight and see how i feel and see how the old neck holds up,lol, im excited like a little boy waiting for christmas,lol. Its been a while since i have been able to workout on a regular basis
 
I just found out my ins isn't paying for my nerve blocks. I'll be calling tomorrow. I'm thinking that a few weeks in the woods might be good for me. Things seem to be coming down pretty hard right now and I don't want to pop. That would be baaaaad..... umkay....

Why in the world wouldnt they be paying for your Shots? Are they considered "Epidurals"??

I don't have any idea. Periodically they just stop paying for things. They are shots in my spine so I would say yes. I'm calling them today when I'm done telling my boss how much of a fucking ass he is. Real shit week man
 
Sorry to hear about your shitty week Dude. Presser glad you feel better and got back to the gym! Hope you are able to get your surgery sooner than later and get back to normal.
 
Go easy Presser. If I were you I wouldn't do any squats, standing calf raises, shoulder presses or any other movement that puts stress on your neck/spine until you get your medical issue resolved.

lol, well i kept posting im starting back, and guess what I havent gone back yet, i keep chickening out, cause this 2nd shot is making me feel better a little and i dont want to fuck it up and start all over with the intolerable pain,
 
hey bro, it's been awhile. give it another week and see if it keeps working, then try to start back slowly. And the reason your doc won't go ahead and do the fusion now is so that he can bleed more money out of your insurance company. To him, you are a scheduling problem...so if he has a busy couple of weeks coming up he will try to hold you over with a shot. Plus he can get you for more office visits, more procedures, and more injections before you get the surgery the more money he makes. If he were to just go ahead and take you to surgery, then you'd get better sooner and not have a need to come see him. It's a shitty system of healthcare we have right now for sure.

If he does this again you should think about telling him you don't want anymore shots...just do the f'in surgery and get it over with. Sry to hear you're going through all of this.

Yeah bro i know thats EXACTLY what they are doing, No big deal im just in a ton of pain,lol, but hey if he can bill my insurance a few more grand then what does he care!

And I already asked for the fusion after this shot, and he said we'll try one more then talk fusion,lol

its a broken system
 
bro - I had no idea how broken it was until this past year...but u definitely say truth. Sad thing is I see so many people buying into the system right now the way it is. I think the days of docs actually have patient concerns as their #1 importance are behind us forever...at least for most docs.

Last Epidural is tomorrow!! I get freaked out the night before everytime, lol, i hate getting put under anastecia*

Anyways I realy think this last shot will do the trick as i been in the gym hitting it pretty good as my last shot has given me a little relief so that combined with tomorrow shot and i think im good to go for atleast a few months,lol
 
That's great Presser. It must feel so good to get back at it after so long, glad to hear it! No worries you will be ok.

Thnx Jenn! And yes it feels so good you have no idea! I know it sems like every other post anymore is of me and my training , diets, and shots,pissing blood,lol but things are finally getting back to normal and I actualy have somehting to post about,lol
