Well my buddy PJ Bruan got 2nd in the heavyweights yesterday to Kali Muscle. I guess it was pretty close call, and im still suprised that PJ lost to him. I've never seen Kali in true contest shape, and i know PJ was in great shape...so once I get some pics Ill post them...

PJ is a friend of mine too and i hope he has come in better then he has at more recent shows....his best decision was not working with palumbo anymore imo

Why do you say that bro, just out of curiosity?
 
well if you look at the shows he did before palumbo he always was big and filled out and in pretty good conditioning....when he was with palumbo yes he came in great condition but he lost too much size and certain bodyparts he would lose a lot of size...i think it is mostly in part due to too low carbs and low calories from the diets he does...actually there was a show pj did that i believe was the atlantic city show a few years back that he looked huge and awesome in and that was a show he did after ge got pissed at palumbo and said fuck it im doin my own diet for this one and he looked good....its just the size thing...he comes down from 275 to 215-220 and thats just too much lost...he should be able to come in as a SWH

im not too great with posting pics but look at his pics from the 2007 north americans and then the 2008 atlantic city amateurs....at the nort americans he was working with palumbo at the atlantic city show he did his own diet ans the shows are only a few months apart
 
yeah there isnt to many pics up yet. PJ came in really flat, and not anywhere near his best. He was off, and just didnt look like the same person. He said he is still doing USA as a heavyweight.
 
from what iver heard recently pj is having some personal issues and i hope thats what it was that made him come in off....hopefully he can move forward and put shit behind him because i think he should to the USAs
 
I dont think PJ would have won the HW class at this show either. Sucks he got sick, but even so, I think the results would have been the same. I dont know PJ, and nothing against him at all, but IMO I dont see what all the hype is over him. I saw him in person up close at Nationals and was not impressed. But then again I could be all wrong. Maybe when he is on and in shape, he looks great. I just havent seen it. Please dont take this as me hating on him. I just think he might be over hyped.

Td the same with Dusty Henshaw! I have no idea how or why the guy has a weirder contract!!! I will say this PJ is a hell of a female coach! His girls always looks amazing!

hit it right on nuk....i know pj personally and i agree with you....i just dont think he has what it takes....he really hasnt made any progress in the last 5 or so years
 
well I think PJ made some good gains this past year, he just didnt get it right at this show...Is he over hyped ? well I guess that is to be seen you never know....there are some guys that just get good amount of pub, and some others (that should) dont...so I guess its how you market yourself...
