I'm a little bit old school and certainly NO expert on body building but i have been training since I was a 12 year old kid. As stated in other post I have learned a lot about BB in last couple of years. give yall some back ground first
College football Monday/Thursday, Chest, legs, tris, Wed. Off Tues/Friday shoulders, back. and of course had power moments (power cleans, snatch. etc) on all of those days and each body part had 4 exercise about 2 hour workout
I gained strength speed and weight. gear was 200mg of test (we were clueless) but I went from 196 19 yr old to 225 21yr old, Bench was 225 at 19, 335 at 21, Squat was 275 at 19 was 600 at 21. my muscle mass my strength all went up. I continued to train the same way from 22 to time I was 33. of course motivation wasnt the same so strength squat went down and bench went up lmao.
On other had I see everybody and their dog say thats over training in the BB world. I had great gains working twic a week. I stoped doing twice a week because of kids and work and went to the one time week with about 45min to hr workout splitting as typical BB routin.
No I see Jay Cutler in a mag say this BS workout once a week on chest and I think no way. Here is guy (not judging at all) take mass load of gear eating correctly and I know damn well if he is working chest one time a week he is putting in 2hrs on that chest and ripping it to hell but cant say that in a mag. cause Joe bag of doughnuts tries to hit his chest that way and snaps his shit up and sues Muscle mag
So my question If guy is working short on time and can only put an hour in the gym on one body part shouldn't he hit it twice a week? If you are going to do a body part a week then you should rip the hell out of it and 3 days later your still sore. I know building muslcel and building strength is different but looks like to me. People do a lot of undertraining and to much attention is given to overtraining. I understand Aronald would train legs for 3 hours?? How the hell is a guy gona blow up his legs with the routins I see in the Muscle mags with a 4 excercise and 4 sets?
What do yall think? If you had more time would you hit those body parts twice? I think Nuk is on the right track hitting those legs and back twice.
