Do Myostatin inhibitors work for you?

Hi,

I've never taken steroids and never will, due to the side-effects.
Myostatin Inhibitors promise to have very low to no side-effects.
That's why I and my friends really consider taking it.
I'm 26 and weigh 138.89lbs (63Kg) and am good in shape, for
being just 4 months in the gym in total. Buying a real Myostatin
inhibitor is hard, because most if not all don't have any real effect,
but are blatant lies to promote advertising without studies backing it.
Studies are also often made by the same company financing the
product and thus can't be taken serious without at least one other
independent study backing it.

I'm still more interested in what you the customer is saying about
the effectiveness of the product, rather than solely relying on clean
laboratory studies not tested on humans.

If you've taken a Myostatin or Follistatin inhibitor please post this:
Example
Product: MYOSTATIN HMP
Dose: 250mcg
My Weight: 138.89lbs / 63Kg
Cycle: e3d (every 3 days)
Other Supps: ESM Hardcore ISO Whey

Thank you for helping all of us getting strong!

wouldn't waste a dime on that shit

Thanks nuknuk :)
1. Why?
2. What would you take instead?

My Opinion:
Myostatin inhibitors are the most effective stuff (propeptides) to allow maximum dna expression while breaking limiting factors.
That means massive muscle growth, even new muscles can grow. More ATP would be spent to grow muscles. I think retroviral therapies are too risky though.

It manipulates your dna after all, I mean I would do it if it was professionally supported and had guaranteed effects, without risky side-effects.
But I couldn't find ANY myostatin inhibitor that really worked outside of clean-lab experiments on animals.
Tagged variants of myostatin inhibitors will get you a flu, the untagged version doesn't according to some experiments..
And ace-031 will get you nose-bleed and has trials for that stuff have been stopped, due to problems with it.
We're probably just not there yet. Genetically improved people would of course have a benefit, but this needs more trials, before getting tested on humans.

1. Because its been proven by real world use that no matter what brand, they just dont give the gains you are expecting or wanting.
2. Based on your experience level, I would suggest the folllowing

Better nutritional approach to gaining weight.
More intense training...give us a snapshot of your current training.

Nuk gave you the right advice. I have seen first hand guys buy it, use it, and say well there went $$$ for nothing. If it were that easy, EVERYONE WOULD DO IT!

1. That's because there is no working Myostatin Inhibitor yet. The products out there don't work yet and I think it'll take some years until someone finds out howto inhibit Myostatin effectively. That was exactly the reason why I asked, if myostatin inhibitors work for you. Because I didn't know of any that actually works. (If you would genetically modify your unborn child to block myostatin production from the beginning, then it definitely would work, but that doesn't help us)

I'm in the gym 5 times a week.
MO: Biceps and back
WE: Breast and Triceps
FR: Shoulder, Neck, Belly
SU: Triceps and Legs

I train the biceps with 60kg, triceps with 50kg, legs with 260kg, bench-press 75kg.
My weight is only 63kg and I want to get up to 75kg.

I'm currently changing from power-phase to mass-phase, which means I use maximum weights with lower reps.
Going to start with ISO Whey+maltodextrine, creatine+glutamine+fish oil+d-ribose+l-arginin and beta-alanin next week.

My three month cycle:
1. Mass loading phase (eating a lot + creatine)
2. Power and Strenghts phase (getting the new muscles stronger)
3. Endurance and condition phase (diet, reducing body fats)

If your trying to add size and muscle then 3k cals a day is no where hear enough. Fck is wilt away to nothing eating that little cals a day. Shoot for more like 4 to 5000 cals a day and you sol grow I Gauruntee it. Try to most of your cals from real food not protein shakes. Shakes are just to tied you over between your meals and right after you lift. I strongly dissagree with mike and nuk on myostatin inhibiters though. I used some fololstatin for about 3 weeks and the growth and just total body change I got from it was crazy!!!!! Chris 250 was a witness to my results and was shocked with the gains I made in such a short time. And I have never lost the gains I made. The folostatin I used was super legit!!!!!!

WOW, that sounds impressive. I heard that most modern Propeptides like Myostatin/Follistatin inhibitors work using RNAi (RNA interference). They simple tell the mRNA (Messenger RNA) to do something different, by infiltrating it's nucleus (core) with a Virus (e.coli) using "Oral Supplemention". Couldn't find a source to get it though. However I think about doing it.. but I found something better called Gtx Ostarine. You take it oraly, it doesn't change your RNA or DNA in any way and has very little to no side-effects. And you keep at least half of the gains. But if you take a higher dose a PCT is required. I could get that stuff, but I'll wait until the clinical trials are finished (2nd quarter of 2013).

Thanks for the hint, I'll try to get to 4000-4500kcal a day :)

Just my 2 cents, but you really should just focus on eating and training correctly. You don't have enough gym experience or real world bodybuilding knowledge to use any of these things effectively. If you listened to everyone's advice and just ate 5k calories per day you would gain weight guaranteed. You should stop focusing on a magic bullet (and even crazier to expect the magic bullet to have no side effects. lol.) and just put in the work. There are probably dozens of guys here that started out at exactly where you are 120-130lbs and put on 30-40lbs over 2-3 years naturally before ever thinking about any of these propeptides, myostatin anti-viruses, research chemicals, or the like.

I totaly agree!!!!!! That basically what the point I trying to get across. Just wanted to share my experience With folistatin. To many people want to just take something to get the gains they want and not put the time in to really grow the right way. Just take our advice and eat your ass off and train.

I have read from other sites that guys do experience side effects, mostly with vision. They experience a blue haze in their vision field that can last for days. So these drugs have not been perfected yet, but offer much promise when they are perfected. There are too many sides with the moderate to strong anabolics. By the way when you give your weight, always include your height. That gives us a much better idea of your physique.

Then I'm 100% sure they got S4! Because that was known to cause exactly those side-effects. Trials for S4 were terminated when that was detected, but dumbasses still sell this shit they even re-label it as Ostarine. Ostarine is only known to make you a little more tired than usual. Other side-effects haven't been found so far. He definately bought S4 sold as Ostarine.

Oh btw. for those who don't know how real Myostatin/Follistatin inhibitors work. Here's a very very good video explaining it.

I only true one company's stuff and all of it was trash. All I got for my $600 was an infection that landed me in the ER

@PharmaGigant - You speak as if you've used all (or any) of these things. lol. Let the people with first hand knowledge comment on its effects/side effects. I appreciate that you are sharing what you've read, but you are trying to come across as an authority or subject matter expert on the topic. If you are hell bent on using any of these things then do it and then share your first hand knowledge with the group.

I'm currently using ostarine and just started s4. Using about 15mg of the Ostarine and 50mg of the S4 ED. No vision problems so far.

I'm just very curious, I didn't use any of these things yet, but read a lot on scientific journals and some logs.
Please keep us updated on your experience! :) You can post here or open a new thead for your logs.
Thanks for reportin back.

No problem...still at the same doses and still no vision issues. I'm up about 5 lbs total and down a 1-2%bf since starting about a month ago on the ostarine and a little over a week ago on the S4. Not sure if the S4 has made a difference or not.
