Best bodybuilding friendly careers?

Maybe I'm a nut, but I used to lose sleep over this. When I was like 21 and had to get a real job after college and doing the bouncing thing the first thing that popped into my head is "how am I going to eat?" And "How am I going to find time to train?" Ah the bliss of youth! The sad thing was bouncing was how I tore my pec! I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack.
Personal Training was always touted as awesome, but having to deal with others in the gym would sap the motivation out of me.

I.T. aka computer systems can be a BB friendly career. I am able to work from home a couple of days per week, and switch my schedule up to fit in work outs, eating, etc. Some companies may not like the BB image, but luckily I work for a technology company that's primary focus is on training, and sports so it is normal to be in better than average shape and encourages participation.

When I was a salesman it wasn't bad, but it always seemed to be time to eat when it was my turn to take a customer

As a personal trainer I make my own schedule, so Im good. I try to only work mornings. so I have the afternoons off.

so whats that mean for you ? lol

Not sure what I meant it just sounded like the right thing to say.....I think I meant that many times I'm so busy either managing the buttheads I have employed, doing admin work (which I hate) or helping other people. I many times have a hard time getting a WO in uninterupted. Then the all too familiar member who insists on talking to me in the middle of a set...I swear my biggest foe is my members

online fit coach/consultant...a couple hours a day posting and promoting and maybe 2-3 hours tops answering emails from clients...

Yea, I forgot about this one, I worked 90 minutes away when I was training so I'd often have to eat on the way up though. It was nice setting your own schedule though

Yes when I used to work construction, my gym was quite a drive and would eat on the road. I became a master at knee steering

I worked at UPS for about 5 years. I can say that it was horrible for my training.. A shoulder surgery, tendonitis in both elbows, and a horrible disposition towards anyone i came in contact with lol. I just got hired at general motors and its great. A lunch and 3 breaks everyday, the cafeteria grills me chicken breasts everyday, they pay for my gym membership, a doctor and physical therapist on site, and the heaviest thing i lift is a bellypan for a cadillac cts

Working off shore on production rigs in the Gulf of Mexico..... Very bb friendly. Personal chef cooks us what ever we want and the menu he creates is the best food I've ever tasted. Plus we have our own gym on the rig. Cardio equipment, entertainment etc. they make it very comfortable out there. I can eat as much as I want when I want.

Plus it's pretty much living for free two weeks at a time. And the boss allow us guys that are into working out order anything extra we need or want for the gym room

That sounds awesome! I new a few guys that are in the fields in west texas that say the same thing.

Honestly I know so many firefighters, cops and prison guards that are "on" that I can't imagine how that can't be a great gig for that. A buddy who has been on for about 10 years and competes in police shows says that their union rules do not allow anything other than a basic drug test. My sisters ex was a prison guard in Soledad and said that it is dumb not to be on because more than half the guys he dealt with are twice your size. Shit my brother in law who is a cop lost his last show to a guy who had massive gyno that stuck out when they did their abs and thigh pose.

I travel a lot and I can't imagine this being a great job for a bodybuilding career. I don't know how some of the top pros do it.
