Farmer's Walk for traps...

I did these when I went to my friends farm to train with him. He's a strongman competitor and this was the first time I had ever done farmer's walk and I must admit I've never had my traps as sore as they were after this. I'm trying to think of a way to do these in a gym. I don't necessarily have 50ft to walk in the gym with dumbbells in my hands so I think I may buy some and do them at home. I strongly suggest trying these if you have the ability to do so, I'd go as heavy as you can possibly go (preferably without straps). I had to set the sled done 3 times to get through 50ft so that'll give you an idea of how heavy to go. I have a strong grip and I couldn't keep walking with this as my grip kept slipping. I'm sure Wesley can second this, although I know he has his own way to train traps

We do them about 2-3 times a week in my little cardio workout. It gets rough when you get up in weight, its like you can't catch your breath but I do like them

You can do them in the gym but not quite the same. Just do a timed hold with heay weight. You don't get the added benefit of stabilization because you're not walking but if you go really heavy for a couple of minutes you'll get the results.

Yeah I do them standing still, I like to call them SHRUGS lol

Presser you'd actually like them if you tried them. I never thought I'd enjoy walking with something I could barely hold onto, but after my traps got smashed like they did I fell in love.
